This metal box is perfect for storage, and I like it.Parts are sturdy and parts are not. Kinda like everything these day. It was a nightmare to put together. Everything was labelled and there were instructions with many pictures just that I was installing it in the middle of winter in my back garden.

The material this is constructed form is about the thickness of a drinks can, so very flimsy. The quality control is very poor too; many of the sctions featured badly bent corners (7 in total, one pictured here) , holes were drilled in the wrong place , numeraous paint blemishes,satins and scratches UNDERNEATH the protective film, indicating zero quality control at the plant. Also, I bought a metal box to avoid plastic waste; the fac that every single piece is coated in a supposedly "protective" film means there was still a large quantity of plastic waste. Assmebly takes approximately 3-4 hours, and what they dont tell you is you need a set of spanners and a spare set of hands tocoomplete it; this could easily have been designed to make it work with just one person. Also the holes for the hinges were in the wrong place resulting in the need for some improvisation in order to get the lid to work; necessitiating a drill and high speed bits for metal as well, to drill new holes, as well as some exta self tapping screws to fik the hinges. To add injury to insult (literally) some of the components had unfinished edges and I ended up cutting myslef in the processs.... my honest recommendation is avoid this product. Very poor quality, very poor value, immensely frustrating experience.

It’s a good and so far waterproof box. The instructions are not for a first-timer, but lay everything out and check carefully before attaching parts and you should be fine. Ours has a slight lean somewhere so one corner of the lid needs to be pushed down to close the lid fully. The locking mechanism is very poor and we simply don’t use it.WARNING: we’ve had to order adhesive signs warning people not to touch the box in warm weather. I tried to open the lid on a sunny day, 22C, and I properly burnt my hand. Put warning signs on and keep some gardening gloves nearby, and you can still benefit from the waterproof and generous storage.

I bought this storage box and reading the reviews thought it would be the best one for me as I wanted a lockable lid. I will give an honest review from the perspective from unpacking to building it. I don’t mind building flat packed units so knew it would take some time. This took over 3 hours for myself and my son to build. You definitely need 2 people to build this….for your sanity! At first the sides did feel a little bendy but once they sides and floor are on it is quite sturdy. It has some fiddly parts and good lighting and wear your glasses….this is required to see the little parts! The final part of the lid and lock were the most trickiest, the instructions are mainly pictures and only my husband is a mechanic I would have struggled to know how to attach the little hydraulic arms to lift open the lid. Honestly by this stage I was finding it hard and my patience was wearing very very thin. I didn’t look online to see if there’s a video to help with assembly but this part will definitely need someone who knows about them. Over all it’s a great size and plenty of room, waterproof, only thing is I found it hard to take the plastic film from the metal so it’s still in it as I just hadn’t the strength to suffer that!! I’m happy….but will never buy another one unless it’s already assembled.

Looks lovely now put together, was it worth the hours that it took to put together?The screws and holes are unnecessarily small and fiddley and the instructions are not clear.Good value, bottom is very flimsy - not sure if it will be waterproof?

OMG! What a pile of poo!Picture instructions - useless!Peeling all the protective plastic off - nightmare & time consuming!Fiddly little nuts and bolts - you need tiny childlike fingers! And if it needs such a tiny spanner, then bloody well provide one so we can tighten the bolts! 🤬. We had a huge selection, but none that smallTime taken - 2 people (used to a lot of DIY, and this is after peeling off the protective coverings) = 4hours!!!All I can say is AVOID AVOID AVOID

It comes flat-pack but I am 63 and put it together on my own although it took some time. It most certainly is watertight outside and very large but you can get even larger. The fact it come with two keys and the lock is really good. On a more positive note too, outside pest seem NOT to be able to enter which is absolutely great and you can store really anything within.
