I am impressed
This machine replaced a Sears Kenmore that I had for over 30 years. I am an amateur quilter...mostly denim and t-shirt quilts so I didn't want to spend thousands for a professional machine. I have been quilting up a storm this past month and this machine is perfect. The only negative I can think of is I can't get the automatic threader to work but it's not a big deal. I have tried several stitches, have quilted some baby quilts, sewn on buttons and piping. I am impressed.

Worst sewing machine. Don't waste your money.
I was so excited to get my new machine. I read the entire users manual and started sewing. It was pretty good for the first 90 days. As soon as the 90 days passed I got a message on the machine saying Main Motor Overload. Of course I couldn't send it back so I looked for an authorized Singer dealer and took in in. They told me the motor froze up. They managed to somehow get it unfrozen (for another $99). I used it again for about 2 weeks and it froze on me again. Took it to a different place who said it is unrepairable. Now I am in the process of sending it back to the manufacturer at my expense. More money! I am out $600 for a machine that barely lasted 3 months. DON'T BUY ONE!

stronger and a great value for the build quality
My daughter out grew her old sewing unit this one is far more advanced, stronger and a great value for the build quality. Unfortunately I do not know the details of how this system works or everything it can do but I do know my daughter loves it and sews everything from dresses to scarfs.

The stitch was too loose.
I bought this machine to replace an old Singer. I specifically picked one with a longer arm for baby quilts. I loved the needle threader as I struggled with that on my old one. I used a few other features in the little time I had it. The knot feature and the needle placement feature and liked those. The backward sewing button is placed in an awkward place. My biggest issue was that the stitch was loose and I could see the bottom thread from the top. I looked at the manual numerous times, adjusted the tension and made sure that it was correctly threaded, I decided to return it, because if the straight stitch does not look good, the decorative stitches will look horrible and I've waisted my money on those extra features.

No for you if you have arthritis!!
I've had this machine for over a year. My main issue is with the let light bulb. It reflect on the foot and is quite blinding while I sew. I need to change my position to avoid this, making it quite uncomfortable after a whileSecond, I have arthritis and the minuscule round command buttons are quite a challenge to use. You have to aim dead center and that is quite painful to my finger joint!Just this morning I was going to fill some bobbins and the bobbins is not rotating but stays in place while the shaft is turning!! Over all not happy with my purchase.

Good Machine
I really like this machine. I was replacing a 30 year old Husqvarna so I was worried the quality wouldn't compare. But, it's a good machine and a great machine for the price. I used Singer's youtube videos to learn how to operate the machine. I like being able to program the needle to finish in the down position and the thread trimmer.

This does it for me
This was a new machine for me after using a Sears Kenmore for FORTY years. (Believe it!) There was a bit of a learning curve, but I'm now in love with this beauty.

Stopped working
The extra insurance is useless unless you live close to a specialist. I live in Denver and was asked to drive to Kansas City for a repair.Machine is on/all the lights, only the foot paddle doesn’t work, same as buttons close to the needle. I can pretty much use it now as a night light, it doesn’t do anything.. very disappointed with Singer machines (this is a second one that stopped working) after not much use.. my grandma from the old country had one, always worked. I should look for the manual foot machine.
