Personal Alarm GENERISE Self Defence Keychain Panic Alarm for Women, Men, Kids with LOUD 125db Siren and 200-Lumen Strobing LED Light PLUS Pair of Hi Vis Reflective Arm/Ankle Bands

I have taken the alarm with me when I have been running lately, as the nights are starting to draw in now and I wanted some peace of mind when out.Thankfully, I haven't needed to use it yet. However, I have of course tested it out at home before taking it with me, to make sure it worked and was adequate for the job. It is!The alarm has worked every time I have tested it and it's very LOUD! Which is just what I wanted. It's very easy to set the alarm off, so you can do it quickly and easily, even in a panic.I definitely recommend this.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a reasonable personal alarm set with the addition of reflective bands to aid visibility at night.The personal alarm consists of a fixed circular loop bearing a pin which slots into the alarm unit. If the two are separated then the alarm sounds and the LED strobe light on the front flashes. It is far from the loudest alarm so if used in a deserted rural area then it might not attract attention from a distance away. It's probably better suited for use in a residential area with people close by.Although well made and functional it has a flaw: if the wearer should be attacked then by removing the loop which may be attached to clothing or key ring etc, the actual alarm unit is discarded and could be tossed away by an attacker. I prefer to see and use alarms where the actual alarm unit remains with the user and the trigger pin is discarded instead in the event of an attack. It would also have been more useful if the LED flashing strobe could also function as a torch. A caribiner clip is included for attaching to clothing, bag, belt loop or similar.The stretchy bands are good. I wear these when cycling at dusk or in dark conditions along with a reflective sash, vest or jacket. These are also handy to wear around ankles when cycling to prevent trouser bottoms picking up oil from the chain but they are equally suited to wearing on the arm for walking, jogging or dog-walking after-dark.Reasonable alarm - not the loudest and alarm section has to be removed to activate.

This is quite an impressive device. It is small and innocent looking and then you pull the pin out it lets out a very loud pulsing noise and starts strobing. The noise is definitely loud enough, with a light as well to get peoples attention. The aim of the alarm is to catch peoples attention and this will do that. If you are in remote location there still has to be people about to hear it and I’m not sure such a small device could be much louder, but I still think this would act as a deterrent/distraction in any situation. This device is small and lightweight so is easy to carry around. Great value for peace of mind at £19.99.

It went off this morning when I fell and I wondered what the noise was. Not enough to disturb me or those I was with. Sadly had I been alone in a field or woods and attacked only me and the attacker would have heard it.

Good quality alarm to add a bit of safety if you’re out after dark as the built in light is bright and the noise will certainly get attention. Easy to use just clip it onto a bag or belt loop and just give it a little tug and that’s it flashing and blasting out the high pitch alarm, good value good product.

The media could not be loaded.  This is pocket sized, keychain sized, loud, light, “GET AWAYNESS” in your hand.So lets start with the alarm unit itself.It has a nice clean design, rounded edges with a very tactile soft “Rubberised/Silicone” casing, that makes it very easy and comfortable to carry in your hand. The activation “Pull” is of a reasonable force that you don’t worry about it accidentally going off in your pocket or bag, that’s not to say that its hard to pull thou, because it’s an easy motion, which is smooth and can be achieved by anyone. When activated, the siren is LOUD, I don’t have a “DB meter”, but I do have “Ears”, and they know LOUD, when they hear it. Also the “STROBE” light is activated at the same time, which as my video shows, is “BRIGHT” and very noticeable. It gives a strong & bright attention grabbing effect.Overall the unit feels sturdy and well made, its light and easy to carry thou, it does have a little weight to it, but there’s nothing that makes it hard to carry, or too much of a hassle to have on a keychain in your hand or in your pocket. It comes with a handy little, lightweight, carabiner, that you can use to attach it to your trousers making it easy to grab and activate should it become necessary, which is nice, and does make it quite handy and easy to have about your person, even attached to a ruck-sack it’s an easy thing to carry and activate.This is a great way to just feel a little better, or, less nervous perhaps, now obviously its a last defence type item, but I think it just makes you feel a little better knowing you can “Signal for help”. I will attach this to the handle section of the dog lead, for those dark walks now it’s Autumn and the nights have drawn in.As my pictures & video show, the included “reflective” armbands x2, are decent, they are “Highly” reflective, and the “Hook & Loop” attachments are decent and strong. They are a decent size and have a decent elastic strength. The width makes them comfortable, because the width spreads the pressure on your arm, when you tighten them.So my final thoughts on the “GENERISE Keychain Panic Alarm for Women, Men, Kids”;ALARM UNIT…….Quality. =Very nice (It has a nice tactile feel, sturdy and well made)Aesthetic. =Good (Everyone likes things that look good, even when function is the most important thing)Utility. =Good (Be it Man, Women, Child, this is a good item for your safety & can be utilised in many different ways)Value. =Well, I’d like it to be cheaper just so more people could afford to carry it because it’s a quality alarm, but the fact I’ve said that means I have to say “Good” (I say Good purely because I think this is a good quality, well functioning, personal alarm)2x included ARMBANDS…………Quality. =Good (They feel strong, the hook and loop attachment works well, and the reflective quality is very high)Aesthetic. =Good (They have a good bright appearance, the neon is strong, & the reflective section works great)Utility. =Good (They can be utilised on your arm, bag, tagged onto a ruck-sack, good visibility)Value. =Nice (The fact they are added to the alarm un it is good)So would I recommend the “GENERISE Keychain Panic Alarm, for Women, Men, Kids”?, I think it’s obvious I like the item, and the added reflective arm bands add another layer of safety through visibility, and thus deterrence through visibility too. So “Yes”, I think this is something well worth having “somewhere” about your person, at any time of day.

This product is great for when you’re walking alone at night or just feel uncomfortable in your surroundings. Just by having it on my person I felt a lot more secure.It is very easy to set up, and even easier to trigger.The only issue I do have is that the alarm is not very loud and if I were to become in a threatening situation I don’t know if anyone would be able to hear it.However, this product works as it should and overall just adds an extra level of security.
