It opens and collapses easily with a strap with fastener to ensure it stays shut, and can be easily stored in a small space. It’s light-weight but stable and provides a perch for sitting. Although the perch isn’t as comfortable as a full seat, it works well for short periods. It’s ideal for use in places that have narrow doorways since the walker can be made narrower by simply lifting the handle to go through the doorway, then pushing the handle back down to revert to its full width.
