A Delight
Jaclyn Osborn created yet another lovely pair of characters with Jack and Luka! This story is a retelling of Jack Frost, the whimsical sprite who spreads winter and mischief wherever he goes. After being rescued by Jack while lost in the woods during a vacation with his parents, Luka has built a world around the legend of Jack Frost. And a career as a YA novelist. After a breakup with his boyfriend and an awful case of writer's block, Luka makes a trip back to that same Vermont cabin, hoping to reclaim the magic that drives the fantasy world of Jack Frost in his novels. And lo and behold, he soon encounters the lovely forest dwelling man/elf/demigod himself and realizes that Jack Frost wasn't the dream of his childhood, but a real being.Jaclyn's Jack Frost is a whimsical, sweet and lovely creature, and it's easy to see how Luka fell madly in love with him. What's not to love? The sweet moments in this novel, from the first lingering looks and kisses, the heat, the grab-a-tissue angst and heartache that Jaclyn writes SO effectively it gets the waterworks going EVERY time for me, to the very satisfying HEA, Jaclyn created a winner here. HIGHLY recommended sweet fantasy from one of my favorite authors! Five very enthusiastic stars!

Speechless!!
Amazing character development right from the beginning. I felt like I was part of the family. And when Jack appeared all those years later I was speechless. I laughed, at the same time I had tears welling up in my eyes, and then I was laughing again. Parts of the book had me in awe with the fantasy of it all. And the HEA was so happy and delightful that I sat here with tears running down my face like a school girl! I don’t know if there’s going to be a follow up to Frost, because I think everything that needed to be said has been said. But if by some happy twist of fate another book springs forth about Jack and Luka it will certainly end up on my Kindle within days of the release. Thank you so much for this book. I really needed it. Bless you Jaclyn for reminding me that my HEA is out there waiting for me!

I always cry
No joke. For some reason, her books always make me cry. She can write one shell of an emotional scene, in this case, one sad and one happy.I loved this book, I really did. Of course the over thinker is me is twitching at the lack lonesome minor details that have nothing to do with the story - because magic. I liked Luka, I liked Jack. I had a bit of a hard time picturing them physically and when I read Jack, I just kept going into Rise of the Guardians. Not sure that was all that appropriate since that Jack was a kid. Still, I loved the story, I loved their relationship, no actual conflicts, a bit of fluff, just a good read.

such a good read!
I originally read this book because of the description because who doesn’t love some paranormal MM. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THE FEELS! Im still wiping my eyes as I type this. It was such an amazing and beautiful read. The plot, the details, the development, some spice, and a happy ever after. Definitely recommend and if you’re emotional like me, grab the tissues!

Short and sweet, perfect happily ever after
I'm so in love with Jaclyn Osborn's books. This feels like it might be the same universe as the others, but the bright comfy side. Jack is mischievous and sweet and Luka is everything you could want in a human boy.

So romantic
This title's a standalone MM Fantasy Romance with a HEA. I thought it was well-written, really charming, very romantic. Very appealing to us who love adult fairytales. The characters are pleasant, the tale is an easy one to enjoy. Recommended for those who love fantastical romance and romantic fantasy. What a way to curl up inside with a warm drink to spend a cold January full moon weekend.

So moving
The story hit all the right notes for me, the 2 mc’s knew they wanted each other from the start, great dynamic, a bit of angst to give the story weight, plenty of heat/steam but well done and moving, not trite, and a hfn/hea. I loved this so much, though I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the fantastical element of the story. The writing style was easy to fall into, depth and detail gave substance to the story, the sentences were well crafted. This was a real treat to read.

All the Feels
This is a true fairy tale with a happily ever after. It is beautifully written as Jack and Luka make their way through meetings and separations. There are moments of romance and loss, of love and loneliness. You may cry tears of sorrow, laughter or joy, but in the end love prevails.

3.5 stars
I've always enjoyed this author's more fanciful novels, and this certainly fits the bill. It's an amalgamation of Jack Frost mythos, combined with a soulmates story and it works for the most part. The writing sincere and the characters are worthy.I just thought the tension lagged a bit in the middle to the point that I thought about giving up, but once I realised what was going to happen, I was reinvested enough to keep on reading.

Lover of Frost & Ice
A mishap as a young boy, Luka gets lost in the snowy hills during a cabin break with his parents. He thinks that he dreams of being rescued by Jack Frost and this sets the pace for his teenage years, writing his first adventure of Jack at 17 years old.Eventually he returns to the cabin, suffering from writer's block and after being ditched by his boyfriend of a few months. It turns out that he didn't dream of Jack Frost and he is rescued by him once again.A well written romance involving a demigod and a man with a vivid imagination. I sought out other books by Jaclyn Osborn as a result of this enjoyable book. I really enjoyed this dip into a wintry tale.

DNF - writing quality below expectations
Story sounded fun and interesting, but the writing is just so basic. This is not the quality I expect from a published author. While the writing is grammatically correct, it is just so clunky that I could not get engaged in the novel.
