Self love , healing and growth in abundance in this poetic collection
Self love , healing and growth in abundance in this poetic collectionRatings : 4.3/5Did you ever face a heartbreak or rejection? Do you ever doubt yourself and feel you are not good enough? Read this one for some healing and acceptance of the self. What I liked about the book:—> Abundance of motivating and healing words.—> Almost every piece was relatable.—> A perfect companion on a day when you’re feeling low or unmotivated.—> Can be finished over a morning or evening cup of tea/coffee ( after all, a good book + a favourite beverage is the ideal combo for any reader)—> All the little doodles/illustrations added a charm of their own. loved them all.-> My favourite titles from the book are ‘Sometimes I write about you with my eyes closed’, ‘The thin line, we cross every time’, ‘They can not be the illness and the medicine both’, ‘For Women who don’t have a partner’ ‘It’s okay’ and ‘Do it for yourself’—> The letters written to self (The letter of apology, The letter of hope and The letter of love) at the end were my favourite part of the book. What I did not like about the book:—> The poems in ‘Mohi’ section seemed to focus on heartbreak around love a lot and some of them felt repetitive and dull (heartbreak could be resulted from other things too I believe)—> The poems in ‘Kabir’ felt a little preachy.Quotable quotes:—> To the heart.you call it broken, yet it is still beatinginside your chest.—> What sort of love is that?Which can only be spoken ofAnd not showed? What sort of love is that?Which exists only in your wordsAnd not in your actions.—> Do not talk about faith to meI grew up believingThat I am not prettyBut the day he told me,He thinks I am beautiful I believed it—> I was so yoursthat I was never mine.—> your heart beats for you moreThan it beats for anyone else.

A very interesting book of poems
Book Title: YellowAuthor: Urja JoshiFormat: KindleBook Title:The title of the book ' Yellow ' is beautiful, attractive and unique.Book Cover:The cover image of the book is solid yellow with the second title written. There is nothing much that is inferred from the cover page.My review:The 2020 year has started with a lot of poetry reading, both in English and Hindi. The trend is being continued till date. This month of November welcomed me with an amazing poetry collection called ' Yellow ' by Urja Joshi. This book speaks to the reader's heart. With a nice collection of soulful poems categorised into Mohi and Kabir - the book manages to impress the reader in no time. The section - Mohi, contains the verses pertaining to hurt and hurting. Every poem in Mohi talks about hurt and pain. For example, the first poem: I am the abused, And I am the hurt, I am The mistreated The punished, and the seeker. This poem has many aspects hidden in it. If a woman reads her perception is different, if a girl reads it differs, if a boy child reads, it differs, and if an old man reads the receiving will be different. This is just one example that I wished to share and applaud the writer's skilfulness. The next section, Kabir, contains the verses pertaining to getting healed. Getting healed from heartbreaks, from disappointments and sadness.Printed in an attractive font, each page allures the reader. Each poem is melodious and poetic that will straightly touch the heart. Every poem will have its own impact on an individual's mind. One of the striking point in the book is the absence of a title to each poem. The author has given the liberty to the readers to entitle the title name with their own reception of the poems. The poems in ' Yellow ', though small in length, oscillate between various feelings and emotions like love, pain, failure, success, hope and so on. These poems shed light on the dark path in which the soul wanders with no idea where to lead itself. While reading these poems, it is very apparent that they are written by driving all the emotions from the heart straight to feed one's, withered soul. When reading some poems, it can be understood that such poems can be written if one has had the experience of true love. The memories of first love, first meeting, compassion towards fellow humans, pain that a true heart endures looking at the wrath created by evil forces in the world, etc., all of it comes alive in these poems. Few poems manage to rekindle those forgotten memories, whether societal or personal, with a rose-tinted hue. With straightforward words, the author has taken care in presenting all poems that will appeal to the readers of all age above the average of a young adult who understands the language of love and its beauty. This book is like the journey of life. The book touches and talks about many aspects of life and the vulnerable emotions felt. With a very colourful cover page and interesting contents, the book definitely is a recommended read. Some poems are so deep in their meanings if read for the second time a different kind of perception is found. The layout, the font style and size are also the plus points that enhance the reading interest. The other best part is the doodles on every page and the quotes. The aesthetic sense of the writer is absolutely flawless.Other than the above-mentioned poems and many more from the remaining poems are superb. With careful rendition and usage of words, these poems will surely leave an impact on the reader's mind. Also, these poems are so good that these make animated graphics and no doubt they can be adopted into animated films. The book is very entertaining, and the best way to experience this is to read it on a lonely day with a cup of coffee in a calm climate. Don't just read the words but experience them.My Final Verdict:This book ' Yellow' is a collection of abstract thoughts which, when felt and experienced, will leave your mind Yellow and Happy! My Rating: 4/5

Refreshing
Book : Yellow : The verses of hurting and healingAuthor: Urja JoshiReview: The book is a collection of poems and self love letters. The poem collection is categorised into 3 different parts, first two parts are Mohi and Kabir and the third part is the letters to oneself. The first part of the book is rather strong as it unabashedly discusses hurt..Second part is a little motivational and recreational as it projects healing. The third part was my favourite the self letters were so empowering.I loved it and have tons of footnotes in them so that I can read them again when I am feeling down. The book overall is an good read especially if you love poemsDo give it a try guys3.75/5

Beautifully trapped emotions in words.
My love towards poems is more of an aquired taste , but now as I started to understand the beauty of poetic works , I don't miss out on any opportunity to get my hands around a promising book of this genre. Now lets talk about the book . First of all , I would like to appreciate the designer who designed the cover , I am happy to report thet the cover successfully created the vide that this book deserves .Love , heartbreaks , rebuilding ourselves , self talk are all a part of life , this book deals with all these. The first part of the book beautifully portrays the situations of heatbreak , the words beautifully describes our heartaches , that we all must have felt at some point of life .The second part of the book , and probably my favourite section of the book , deals with healing , that is bringing ourselves out of the dark that we often find ourselves after a devastating experience. The last part of the book , is a bit off beat , its written in the form of letters to ourselves , I would like to refer it as the section of self talk and self topic , I fo appreciate the poet for bringing in this to the book.I do reccomend this book, to all poemheads and others too.
