Best quality and longest lasting shoe by far that I have ever owned
Cat (Catapillar) shoes and boots are by far the most incredable, long lasting, well made and comfortable boots I have ever owned! This review will tell you why. An employee at an army navy store in Engelwood Colorado told me that Cat boots are the best made boots they have sold in over 30 years in business and they sell a lot of different brands of boots. I've worn this shoe most days in the fall and winter for three and a half years now. The sole is only about half way worn. The upper leather is extermly durable and still in good condition. I finally, after three years, I had to have a shoe maker stich about a 3/4 inch stich on one of the shoes. Nothing else was wrong with them. They are still going strong five months after the repare. I bought another pair of the same shoe to wear when my current pair wears out. Two years after I bought the second pair, I am still waiting for the first pair to wear out, so I can switch to the second pair. That's incredable that the first pair is still going!! I also own two other styles of the cat boots besides this shoe. One is like a hiking boot style. The other style is an above the ankel style boot. The three styles of the Cat boots I have were all comfortable from the first day I put them on. On the three different styles, I did not have a "break-in period" of several weeks after I bought them, like I had to do on other brand boots that were more expensive. Cat is very careful on the way the boots are made. A Cat's customer service rep. told me that when I called them. The two boot styles I own are just as incredablly durable and comfortable as this shoe is!!! I bought this shoe about four years ago. The other two styles of Cat boots are both about five years old. I have worn the hiking boot style over a hundred and fifty times to go hiking and in the snow. Some of the hikes were three day hiking/camping trips in the mountains of New Hamshire and Colorado above tree line on jagged rocks. The hiking boot style sole is not even half way worn down yet. The lether upper is incredably durable, still in good condition and none of the stitching has come apart. Some of their shoes and boots have composite toes, NOT steel toes. A composet toe is much better then steel toe. Steel toes looses wormth quickly. Composite toes holds in warmth much better. The sole to my above the ankel boot is also less then half way worn after having it for about five years and wearing them at hundreds of times. The upper leather is incredably durable "full grain" leather, too. None of the stitching has come apart on this boot, eather. All their boots will last you many years, like mine have.

So far so good
Bought these for my husband that works in a tire center. Needs steel toe and most shoes tear apart at the top by the toes due to to crawling around on the ground and some equipment. I mean expensive shoes/boots lasting a month tops. These are holding up amazingly, you still can’t see any wear at the top. That extra coverage is very durable. As far as comfort he said they did hurt the first few days but once broken in they are his new favorite. And they are lightweight compared to other steel toes so overall a great purchase.

Good quality, but takes a while to 'break them'.
They're initially pretty stiff. It takes several weeks to soften them up so they become more comfortable.Hopefully the threads are good quality, only time will tell.So far I'm happy with this purchase.

Almost Perfect
These are rugged shoes with a great look. I wear them for office work that occationally takes me outdoors for construction site visits. They are stiffer but I see how that can be valauable if you are using them as a work shoe outside or in construcction setting. Since they are stiff, getting a good and reasonably tight lace up takes a little more effort. I feel like I am still breaking them in after three months. I'm sure they would break in faster if they were getting heavier use as intended. I ordered the 10.5 as I do with all my shoes. One shoe is a little snug in the toes. My feet are not the exact same sizeand I have a typical "greek foot". Fitting me in shoes takes some effort and every now and then I find shoes tight on the toes on one shoe. I find myself wanting to like them more than the fit allows so I knocked off a star, otherwise they would have got five stars.

Comfortable, longer lasting
I rarely give out 5 stars, but these shoes deserve it! From the minute I put these on to the ~6 months today, these shoes have been super comfortable compared to other similar work shoes. The laces are solid, the overall build is solid and sharp looking. The fits was exact for my feet. I couple these shoes with Copper Fit insoles to make a perfect pair of work shoes. I generally work 4-5hrs on flat surface warehouse concrete. With ANY shoe, the 5th hour gets to be a bit uncomfortable for feet, but these shoes have been by far the best of three other's I've tried. I will never buy any other brand of work shoe, so long as they don't make any changes to these! These also have great grip in wet and snowy conditions when needing to shovel snow or what have you.

Early in the game, but so far so good.
I’ve only worn these one long day to work, but they feel great. I did have to take out the factory insoles and replace with better arch supports, but I have to do that with all my work shoes. If they feel this great every day, I’ll be a happy camper.

9 out of 10 toes, would recommend this shoe.
I am normally a boot wearer and have struggled to find a standard safety shoe that feels solid, and does not have the laces go through fabric loops on the shoe itself. This shoe however has a good weight and sturdiness to it that feels good on the foot and does not make me question how well it sill protect me.Afer breaking them in over a couple of work days, I really do like the feel of them, and after the couple of weeks abusing them at work - they sre still holding up and showing little scuff wear on the toe. I work with and around large stacks and pieces of sheet metal that shred most leather boots down to the toe cap very quickly, but these have already held up in that department. So far, I do think I would buy these again once I need a new pair and would recommend them to others looking for a non-boot safety shoe. Good stuff.

Buena calidad
Se sienten bastante robustas, más pesadas de lo que imagine por ser de casquillo de aleación

The fit was just about perfect for my size 8 wide (US) feet
Two weeks in. Just over 80 hours of wear.Bought for indoor warehouse work: stomping up and down ladders and stairs; bumping into hard pointy edges and corners. The fit was just about perfect for my size 8 wide (US) feet. Has a little bit of toe room for me to wiggle and flex my toes during a long shift at work. Strong, sturdy, and don't feel heavy at the end of the day. Only issue I have is some discomfort / mild pain on the top of my left foot but I need to try adjusting my shoe laces to see if that helps. The soles can bend, creasing between the lowest and second row of grommets on my shoes.
