Pilot Precise V5 RT Retractable Rolling Ball Pens, Extra Fine Point, 2-Pack, Red Ink (26082)

This is the second time I’ve purchased these pens. They are my daughter’s favorite for use at school when red pens are needed. They glide and make it easy to write neatly. Have not experienced smudging which is also always a plus.

I've been using Pilot V5 pens for years at my office. I know there are cheaper more durable pen products out there. But the ink quality and color is just for me, far superior to other pens. I actually have another friend who is also an engineer and this is the brand he uses as well. I think the ink just shows up on the paper much clearer and brighter making it easier to read. Now that they are making these pens in a retractable larger pen body I had to try these out. And I love these even better. I've been using these for a while now and my feeling is that they are more durable than the standard non retractable type. I have emptied at least one of them out completely. Time perhaps to try the refill option now. Though I have a feeling the refill might actually be more expensive than just getting another pen. Either way I really love thse pens. As far as writing these pens are slightly larger so the writing grip on the pen is better than the standard non-retractable versions. Another nice feature. My wife hates the regular pens cause more than a few times over the last 20 years I've left then in a bad spot and the ink has soaked into a shirt or pants, or you name it. Now that they have a retractable option this is the way to go cause it prevents that problem.

I use the red Pilot rollerball fixed nib pens but I usually only find them in sets with other colors which I do not need. I tried these and they write / draw equally well as the fixed pens.

These pens are fine point and I like using them for marking up important dates and things to do on my calendars and reminder notes. The price is very good for the two pen pack,and the quality is excellent.

Great product. Would buy again.
