Works
Works well. Read 4 codes on a 2005 Honda Accord Lx. Showed two ABS codes that led us to replace wheel speed sensors. Also another CEL that led us to a hole in the intake and finally pulled a pending code for SRS on a faulty seatbelt switch. I’m sure this does a lot more than read codes, but it does that at the bare minimum. I just can’t justify the cost to keep this going forward.

Worked effectively on the two vehicles it was tried on.
I was initially pretty skeptical of this unit as good obd2 scanner/readers can be expensive however so far so good. I bought this scanner with the specific intent of scanning a 2014 Dodge Caravan that had an SRS Malfunction Indicator Light displayed on the dashboard. Upon hooking up the reader, the unit immediately turned on, apparently drawing its power from the vehicle. I then followed the simple and easy to read instructions on the screen which ultimately led to the unit to display the Code as well an actual description of the problem (most scanners only display the code which you then have to look up on the internet). I then fixed the issue, which in my case was simply a wiring harness that had become unplugged (open circuit), then re-scanned the to see if the issue continued to exist according to the vehicle's computer. The scanner informed me that the issue was no longer showing a code. I then instructed the obd2 scanner to reset the malfunction indicator light (SRS light), which it did. I have since had no problems with the air bag (SRS) light being on. I am still skeptical that this scanner/reader will work on all of the vehicles it states it will work on but at this point, having only used it once on the aforementioned vehicle, but I am currently satisfied.**Update**I have since used this on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee (Classic, not a Grand Cherokee) and it worked as it should in diagnosing the exact problem (O2 Sensor) as well as the exact location of the sensor and further reset the code. As stated before, I am happy thus far.

Saved me max $
Does exactly what it is designed to do and translate of codes to plain English is great. For instance my car had an error code that enforces a limp mode to save the world from too much emissions. The vehicle dealers wanted $2700 to replace the EGR valve but I knew cleaning it and resetting the code would achieve the same outcome. A few months down the track and I know I’ve more than paid for the scanner by not forking out for the EGR valve.

Autel scan tool easy to use and value for money
I purchased the code scanner because of intermittent check engine light occurrences on my diesel pickup. In doing reviews, I saw the Autel unit was highly recommended. I was able to determine quickly what the problem was, correct it and then clear the code.

Useful product
I didn’t wanna pay much on this kind of tool, so I chose this one based on its reasonable price and a few features. Now the fact proves that it’s really worthwhile! It’s capable of working on many different brands cars like 2012 Fiat 500 POP, 2002 Ford Explorer XLT and 2006 Audi A4. Only plug it on my vehicle, all I need to do is to press the buttons and analyze the data it shows me. And determine if there is need to have car served at auto service center or I can get it done on my own. On the other hand, if there is something I can’t fix, I will print the data via PC and then consult my friends for professional tips. Its smog check factor is what I usually need. Where I live in has required an emission test for vehicle, so it has to get that information to ensure there is no problems which may cause emission problems and if so I would be fined. Since then, it helps me get rid of serious fines. There is no issue with this gadget at all. It helped me understand what’s wrong with my car, and it tells me if I need to go to a mechanic. If so, I can tell them outright what the problem is without needing to figure it out for a long while. It’s a good tool to help you make detection on your vehicle and enhance your vehicle safety as well as your security.
