This air gap was easy to install and works perfect. No more noise or overflow. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars This is the air gap you want (I've tried several) *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2021* So three reasons why this is the air gap you want:1) Most importantly this one has a screw cap that allows you to easily clean out the gap if food particles get trapped in it. Most of the other ones have a snap in style insert that you can theoretically pry off, but frequently wind up snapping off the tabs that hold the diverter cap in place.2) It's long enough to get through quarts and stone counter tops with a support board under the hole. Again the other ones I have purchased have a shorter threaded part and I was only able to get 1-2 turns of threads beneath and on top of the counter to hold it in place, so it never felt as secure as it should.3) The diameter of the outlet tube is just a bit bigger, so if you have a dishwasher with a fairly strong drain pump (e.g. the Bosch 800 series), it is both quieter and less likely to back up onto the counter. The previous one I had a tendency to leak a small amount of waste water out of the air gap because it couldn't drain fast enough. This one doesn't.One minor criticism is that the cover is cheap fake chrome covered plastic. It that bothers you, you can order a different cover (they are a standard size) with a quick search for "air gap cover" here on Amazon. I replaced mine with the cover from the previous air gap. And yes, you can still see the thin white plastic bottom of the part that screws down on the counter. That definitely doesn't bother me, but a different cover would solve it if it does. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Good for thick counters *by Z***2 on Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2016* This is one of the few air gaps that can be used with thick counter tops. Works well. Two minor issues. The chrome cover does not come in other colors. Second, it does not cover the top of the white nuts so you see a white ring below the cover once the gap is installed.
