This air pump with 1 Outlets is super silent with multi-level muffler, low power consumption. Special artificial rubber to keep a steady air flow output and pressure that can be adjusted freely. Low p Review: Better than the Tetra Whisper - I had two Tetra Whisper pumps before I bought this one. Both of the whispers broke where the silicone line gets plugged in (it's plastic!). THIS PUMP has a metal piece where you attach the silicone tube. I also don't use an air stone. Maybe that makes a difference with the noise level, I don't know, but I don't have any complaints about noise and my 20 GALLON aquarium is in the living room and right next to our master bedroom door. Plants love it
Not the quietest pump out there but great air movement and simplicity. First pump was dead on arrival but after verifying it was the pump and not my system, amazon switched it out for a different one (same product). A few months later and it is humming along.
