Don't pay this much for an ok product at best.
Not at all worth the price. This laptop stand has functionality, and looks decent, but is worth $100 tops. Also, be warned this is for a 15" laptop at the largest, and not really built to suit most PC's. I have a 17" alienware laptop and when I put it in this stand there's no room to use the ports on the sides, and the backing plate on the stand is also directly in the way of my power jack, a little off to the rear center of the laptop, forcing me to leave the piece off, and this is a common place to plug in most PC laptops, poor design at best, probably made with Macbooks in mind. So despite them telling you it can fit up to a 17" laptop, I'd say it's 15" functionally. The side shelves are a little wobbly when secured in place, I definitely wouldn't advise putting a liquid beverage on them. It looks better in the picture as well, it's not that bad, but little things like the "The Sharper Image" logo on the back plate being put on crooked, and not centered, looks junky, and reeks of irony. In short if you shop around you can find something even better than this for significantly cheaper. I don't mind paying good money for a quality product, but this is not one of them.

Nice computer table "But"
I have one issue. The laminant cover on the wood is coming loose in several areas. Not impressed.

soo disappointed
The design of this item is terrific, but the workmanship is the pretty terrible. After all the research for just the right table, and all the work to put it together, it is going to have to go back. The biggest of all the problems is that the cup that holds the table onto the pole stand was made poorly so that it is not completely horizontal; thus when you attach the desktop to the pole, the desktop will NOT sit completely flat horizontal, but tilts down to the right. Looking at a computer screen that is TILTED is extremely disconcerting and not tolerable for regular use. Additional manufacturing concerns include holes that are too big for the bending couplers, so there are gaps, holes, around all four couplers. Also, they did not punch the holes well enough for the drilling so that when you put the screws through, it needs to rip through the laminate to complete the hole. The laminate then cracks so the surfacing is imperfect. some of this is covered up through the setup, but some laminate cracks are visible elsewhere. Corners on this are super sharp. My final complaint, although not a dealbreaker, is that my standard laptop doesn't fit inside with the power cord sticking out one side and the mouse usb sticking out the other side. I had to use a rack to lift my laptop out of the table in order to hold my laptop along with the protuding cords. Seems like two more inches would have done the trick. What a shame, because I researched every laptop cart on the market and this was my favorite design by far. Too bad the workmanship is so piss poor.

Inaccurate measurements and advertisements. Not a standing desk replacement.
Item is ok at best.Cheaply made and inaccurate measurements. It only goes to 34โ which is a disappointment. I hoped to have it as a standing desk replacement. Itโs more for sitting. I submitted a ticket to replace the lift piece thinking original part was flawed. Nope, new piece still kept it at only 34โ.Might keep since it helps with space issues. But sturdiness is poor so will see if it can hold cpu long term. No way it can hold more than an iPad or MacBook Air. Donโt try a MacBook Pro(!)

Minor Flaws but overall a good buy
All in all it is not a bad piece for the price. Does exactly what I needed it for. The unit was easy to assemble and makes for a good mobile work space/dinner tray. It raises, lowers, rolls smooth. These are the only drawbacks so far (as pictured):- Unit was packaged pretty well; however, some of the laminate finishes were still a little damaged upon arrival- During assembly I would recommend using a longer screw on the hinges. The ones that come with it seem like they would rip out easily.- No covers for the screw locks which gives it an unfinished look- The rolling base is a little small but doesnโt really cause much concern, just becomes a little unsteady when lifted all the way up. But not so much that it feels it will fall over.
