Warm, uplifting read
Couldn't put this down. I loved Margot, Will and Blossom, but also Will's family and Margot's friends. All the characters, both human and canine, were so real and believable. The story made me laugh and cry (in a good way.) And although I raced through it, I really didn't want it to end.I've been a huge fan of Sarra's since Unsticky, and have read everything she's written, including her YA books. I am delighted that she's returned to her original style, concentrating on one contemporary couple's (+ dog!) romance.I've ordered the print version, as I.p know it's a book I'll read again and again.Highly recommended. More please!

Thank goodness the dog knows what she’s doing…
Imagine a film, directed by Richard Curtis, that is a cross between Bridget Jones and About A Boy - except, in this case, it’s about a dog, called Blossom. The angst, is provided by Margot - a woman in her mid-thirties, worried that her fertility clock is running out of time and Will - a man who had been told so often by his father that he was useless and would amount to nothing, that he had started to believe it.These two souls are brought together when they agree to co-’pawrent’ a rescue staffie traumatised by her early background. The author manages to draw lovely, realistic and believable portraits of all the characters who feature in this book. It is both heart-warming and heart-breaking in equal measures. But, just before the reader is plunged into depression and despair, there is an injection of humour and fun that will make their spirits soar once more.My favourite character of all has to be Blossom, the dog, who weaves her magic throughout the story to slowly bring Margot and Will together. She makes sure that her humans find the loving family they both desperately need and that she has as many sausages and belly rubs as any dog could ever wish for.I’m not a great romantic fiction reader, but even I had a tear in my eye reading this book.

A beautiful book I couldn’t put down
Well it’s 1am and I’ve just finished this book that I couldn’t bare to put down.Sarra Manning has always been one of my favourite authors- for at least 15 years now! She’s guided me from my teens to my thirties and this book really struck a chord for where I am in my life right now. It’s an absolutely gorgeous book with more than one love story.

Dogs, characters and London at its best.
I really enjoyed the cast of characters in this book, especially the one at its heart Blossom the rescue Staffy who brings Will and Margot, two thirtysomethings together and helps them to heal as much as they do her. Also worthy of a mention is I love the way London is brought to life in Sarra Manning's books and the lives and locations feel very real, even to the florist business Bloom's that is evolving and changing with social media. The dialogue and the friends are wonderful and make the world feel so real. To me this was a real treat to read a well written from com in a contemporary world with of course a wonderful dog at its heart.

An OK read
I was looking forward to reading this new book by Sarra I had just finished reading Unsticky (for the third time) which I adore. (Would love a follow up of unsticky!!) Any way back to Rescue Me, I was disappointed maybe because I adore unsticky, but I couldn't get into Margot and Wills characters. It was hard to keep an interest in Wills character he was not likeabe, I only felt any chemistry with the characters towards the end of the book. That said it's not a bad read. Just no Unsticky.
