They keep our floors from being scratched. Perfect!
These pads work! We have limestone flooring, which is a fairly soft stone, and we have tried a series of different types of protective pads for our furniture, especially kitchen and dining room chairs. The original pads the manufacturer had on the kitchen chairs were secured with several small nails. As these wore out, we replaced them with a series of adhesive backed felt pads, which inevitably came loose. We ordered a couple sizes of these nail-on pads and they work perfect. The "nail" that is used to secure them to the chair is a cylinder that is easily hammered on to the chair leg. This type of fastener provides solid support for the pad assembly as well as giving a permanent grip onto the chair and other furniture. And, it was easy to hammer them on. Two reasonable strikes with the hammer, and their done. It took longer to use needlenose plyers to remove the nails that were left over from the original worn out pads. If we ever need more, we're buying these. But they seem so durable it may be a few years before we buy another set.

Installed under an antique dining table and they saved my bamboo floors!
We have a family heirloom dining table that belonged to my husband's grandfather and this table is sitting on our brand new bamboo floors. If you know anything about bamboo floors you know that they are extremely fragile and anything will scratch them...anything...it's insane. I didn't know that when I had them installed...my bad. Anyway, my son likes to sit at the table and play with his hot wheels cars and he slides the table around. This table previously had metal sliders on it. That was giving me anxiety on an Everest level scale. I bought these and within 10 minutes had them all installed in place of the metal sliders. That was 7 months ago. They are all still in place even after the table being slid back and forth, no joke, at least 10 times per day and up to 20 times...this is a full size very heavy dining table. I have to slide it against the wall to prevent my toddler from climbing on the chairs and then on top of the table and then my son slides it out so he can sit at it with his cars. Then when he leaves I slide it back against the wall. It happens over and over again all day. These have held up through that for 7 months and they are still solid and in perfect shape and my floor is still in perfect shape underneath. Highly recommended!

These pads are awesome for wood chairs.
Good product, easy to install. This is second time we've purchased for our Amish Oak Dining room chairs. Seems like work great for about 5 years, then they are ready for a replace if you want chairs to slide well on wood floor. Have not had any come loose like adhesive style. Also seem to hold up better than adhesive style pads because they have the plastic ring to support the pad. Steve

Waaaaaay better than those peel-n-stick ones felt pads
Don't waste your money on peel-n-stick felt pads unless it's a rather small piece of furniture and it almost never (or never) moves. What happens (and this IS what happens) is the weight of the furniture, especially combined with any movement and change in weight upon it (such as in a chair or table), the pads start slipping, and the next thing you know, you've got a useless felt pad hanging on for dear life before it just folds up and sticks to the side of the furniture leg ... oh, and THEN the adhesive, or what's left of it on the bottom of the furniture leg, is now, either sticking to your floor, or it's attracting every bit of hair and lint and whatever else. Again, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME on peel-n-stick. Just get these, and nail the little discs onto the bottoms of your wooden furniture legs, and you'll be done. Done! Now, I'll admit that I don't know how long the FELT on these felt pads'll last, that'll depend on what sort of flooring you have. If it's a rough surface, it won't last as long as a smoother surface; sort of simple deduction there. But I'll have to give an update on the wear (I have wood floors), but as far as them slipping off of the furniture, it ain't gonna happen ... well, unless you don't know how to use a hammer at all. SUPER easy to install -- totally non-threatening to even the weakest of hearts. You just flip your chair upside down (or sofa or easy chair, etc), position the felt pad in the center of the bottom of the furniture leg (with the circular nail facing toward the wooden leg, naturally), and then using the hammer, tap the top of the felt pad just a few times to get it in place, and then tap a bit more a few times until it's nice and flush with the surface. DUNZO! I'm just so filled with mixed feelings right now ... I spent well near $20 or so for those (basically useless) peel-n-stick pads and then I had to spend about the same again for these pads, which are WAAAAAAAY better. Can you tell I like 'em? Like I said, I'll give an update if I see any change, or just after a year or so has gone by. If you don't see an update, then they're still good, or I'm dead, or I've left to live off-grid. Cheers!

They're okay.
They work well for a bit, then they get dirty. They collect every kind of lint, hair, dust and fur so you need to pick that gross stuff off every once in a while. We use these on our kitchen table chairs since we have hardwood floors. They work to protect the floors, but once they get dirty it's kind of gross to clean off. We also have kids so any type of wet food spilled will also make these sticky. The chairs no longer glide easily on the hardwood floors. I've tried scraping the bottoms, even sanding the bottoms of the felt to 'freshen' it up. Nothing works! I bought these in 2018 and I'm still searching for something that can work better. I guess they only last so long and you need to replace them? I wish there was something that works as well as these, but you could wash. Here I am in 2022 buying them again. Or will I?

Fit well and stay in place. No nail heads to secretly destroy your floor.
I use the 1" size on chair legs to prevent scrubbing marks on my laminate. They have been working well since the original pads wire away many years ago. I found that these pads were a bit thicker than the last brand that I had installed so I needed to replace two on the same side of the chair to keep it from tipping. I find that the pads on the front legs wear more quickly so if I weren't trying to be frugal I would just replace all four at the same time. I found that these were 48 pcs for 8.99 yo be about half the price of other brands. The wool felt feels dense so I hope it will wear well Time will tell.

These really work!
These “nail-on heavy duty” pads really work! We tried the felt adhesives with various pre-cut sizes, and as well as the ones we had to “cut to fit”. We didn’t like them. They either didn’t adhere, or within a few days, the dirt/dust caused them not to stick. It was hard to cut clean edges too. We were frustrated and were using bath towels and facecloths to protect our new floors. We then tried the these. We started with a multi pack with various sizes. We like them. We quickly ordered the sizes we needed, and are thoroughly happy. Note: We did have to carefully remove the old plastic or metal caps that were on some pieces of furniture but that was okay. I will share that you can see/notice that the furniture legs are slightly raised on some pieces, but it’s not an issue. My new wood floors are protected. No scratches, no worries as I move chairs, tables, foot stools around. We used the larger 7/8” sizes under bigger pieces like our secretary, dining/kitchen tables, china cabinet and such. The smallest ones were great for small lamp tables with thin legs. I’m happy!

Awesome
Okay, where have these been all my life? I have a dining room set with lots of chairs. We recently had our hardwood floors beautifully refinished and I was determined not to let what happened before to them happen again. Before, every chair had two sets of scratch marks on the floors. I tried those awful light brown stick on ones and after about a month, they came off. So, I stuck them back on with super glue, figuring I'd tricked them, but they started coming off again. Not only did they come off, but a sticky residue came off on our floors and was torture to get off. So, I went looking for a solution. I thought these were priced a bit high, but when I read the reviews, there were several who'd mentioned the same thing I'd gone through with the sticky residue and I knew I had to buy them. I can't begin to say how pleased I am with these pads. They go on super easily. I had each chair done in about 30 seconds (that includes pulling off the old pads and plastic pads that came with the chairs. For those who are confused about the "nail", there are no nails with this. It's a pad that is fused to a base and then the base has a 1/4" or so diameter circle that gets hammered into the wood on the chair leg. Goes in super easy and stays put. Put them on and forget about it, they're not coming off. Highly recommend.

These are wonderful! Such a relief not to have sticky glue ...
These are wonderful! Such a relief not to have sticky glue all over my floors. You do need a little elbow grease to hammer these in. I have had my first batch in situ for about 5 mths now, they still work perfectly. I'm only sorry I didn't order them sooner!

Wow!
I wish I knew about these earlier. They are amazing. The felt ones would always leave glue all over our floors and it drove me crazy. These are genius and totally worth the price for high traffic movement. Recommend for sure!
