They didn’t fit the fridge
Although they were supposed to be the right water filter they weren’t.

Good replacement
I have been using these for years in my refrigerator. They work perfectly and are so much cheaper than replacing them with name brand filters.

Great substitute for brand name. Great buy. Updated June 2018
I am on my third filter from this brand. These filters fit my fridge perfectly and I've never had a leak from one of the filters Far more cost effective than the Samsung brand which sell locally at $38 each. The water tastes great, too. After initial installation there is the expected charcoal residue coming out for the first two or 3 quarts at which point the filter is fully saturated and no longer sheds particulate into the water. I highly recommend these as a) working as promised b) having a great price point and c) meeting my standards. I'll continue to purchase these filters.June 17, 2018 - UPDATE - I'm STILL using this brand of filter. I've not had a failure yet and the product performs great. The water tastes fine and lasts the whole three months. The ONLY update I can give is that the connection point has been changed a bit - probably due to other reviews indicating leaks. For me this translated into a very snug connection which is a bit harder to turn. As I only need to turn each one 2 times total (install and removal) it is not a hardship at all - but I wanted to have you be aware of it.

Works, but slow drip at dispenser.
Feb 2015: Works but slow leak at water dispenser after installation....one drip per 4.5 minutes. Did the calculations and that's 1 gal per 153.6 days. Annoying but I'll live with it. Here's how it went:Received shipment on 12 Jan 15. Installed on 2 Feb 15.The installation instructions for my Samsung fridge say you must turn OFF the water supply before remove and replace. This makes the procedure a little more difficult than initially presented by the salesman of the fridge. You have to pull the fridge out from its position to get to the water supply. After I did that, I turned off supply and went to the front of the fridge to remove current filter. Takes about 20 pounds of pressure using your fingers to push in and left turn the filter. At first it didn't move, then I put more force into it and it twisted free. Probably even harder if you leave the water supply on!Now for the replacement. I noted everything looked the same on the top of the new filter except it had a small square shaped opening instead of a round one like the Samsung filter. Hmmmm, will this cause a problem I thought? Looked into where the opening was going to attach to the fridge and got an idea of where the edges would catch and tighten when installing. Slid the new filter as straight in as I could to the target (inside attaching area), pushed and turned to the right. It took two half turns before I felt a click and it seemed snug. Then went to back of fridge and turned on water supply to full on where it had been during original installation last Jun 2014. Then as per Samsung fridge instructions, ran about a gallon of water through the front dispenser to get rid of air in system. When I finished I noted that the water dispenser was having difficulty turning off. There was a short duration stream of water after shutoff. This was new and was not an issue with the original Samsung filter. I also noted a drip afterwards that ran at about one drip every two minutes. I checked the inside of fridge for leaks and found none. Went to back of fridge and decided to turn the water flow valve to HALF of full on. This BTW is where I had the setting for my old fridge. Figuring this would help the shutoff and drip rate, went back to the front to test dispenser. Sure enough, extra flow after shutoff had stopped. But, the drips kept coming, although now they were at one per 4.5 minutes. Pushed the fridge back into position and kept watch for a while to make sure I didn't have a big leak. None has materialized after a couple hours. Not ideal, but if I loose one gallon every 153.6 days, it will do. My only concern now is how much of a leak do I have into the two ice makers? Only a few days will tell. And, maybe over time as the sediment accumulates in the filter, the drip rate will go down. We'll see.Overall, OK, but not as good as a Samsung filter.UPDATE Jan 2019: Even though I had theses issues I decided to buy another packet of 3. Why? Because each one of these filters did it's job in excess of a year! I'm a firm believer that you should replace your water filter when needed (when water tastes like tab water) rather than every 6 months. So, my 3-pack that I bought in Jan 2015 lasted four years. We only have two people in my house with occasional yearly visits from relatives. So water consumption is at a minimum. Your use will obviously very. As for the slow drip that I noted in my detailed installation steps above, I was able to eliminate that by setting the water stop cock to 1/4 flow. I still had plenty of pressure for water to a glass and to the TWO ice makers. In fact, at 1/4 flow I had less splash in the icemaker machines.I can't say you will get the same results. In fact there are numerous 1-star ratings that say otherwise. But, here's hoping that I get the same long term use that I have for the last 4 years. Oh, and I upgraded my rating to 4 out of 5 stars.
