Review: First time user, WILL buy again! - My mother passed away recently and I wanted a way to immortalize her touch. Being a crafty person, I figured I could probably make on of these myself and save about $200 rather than ordering one online. And it worked! The clay is extremely easy to work with. When you're making smaller items it can be quick to dry out, but just a little bit of water will make it workable again. If it sticks to your fingers while working it, just put some olive oil on a paper towel and then dampen your fingers in it. This is how we were able to get my mother's finger prints into the clay. Once it's dry (I put all of mine in the oven at 300 for about 10 minutes after they air dried for about an hour) you can use a BUTANE torch about 3 inches away from it to fire them if you don't have a kiln. I watched a few tutorials on YouTube and picked up on it quick! Then I just dipped them in some liver of sulfer to oxidize the silver, then buffed them with a dremel! They turned out perfect! With 2 of the 20 gram packs you can make about 4 or 5 this size!
Review: excellent value - This is a fantastic price for a great quality item. I have looked at many websites and this is the best value I have seen anywhere for this amount of the product. Obviously with it coming from Japan you can't order it as a last minute buy , but I've ordered 2 lots so far and they've both arrived within a couple of weeks , which I was most impressed with. I shall continue to purchase from this store as long as it stays at this great price!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this for the clay or for the paste? Your picture is of the clay but your description says it is paste.**
A: It's a very soft clay.

**Q: What is the shrinkage rate of this clay? What type of silver is it? 925 or 950?**
A: Shrinkage about 10%.
Art Clay is 100% Pure Silver.

925 is 9.25% pure silver .75% copper (molten together, not plated)
950 is 9.50% pure silver and .50% copper (molten together not plated)

**Q: Is this listing for the paste or lump art clay? The image looks like the regular lump clay but the description indicates paste.**
A: This for the clay lump NOT the paste. It is just as pictured.

**Q: percent silver what is the % of pure silver 99?**
A: Hello and thank you for your question. This amazing pack of 20g silver clay is powdered clay suspended in an organic binder that, once fired as per the instructions, will sinter into a solid piece of silver. Firing is how Art Clay turns into pure silver. No matter which method you use to fire Art Clay, the process is the same: burning the organic binders off and sintering the silver particles to increase strength. In the end, you have a piece of 99.9% fine silver, just 8% to 9% smaller, and with all the fine detail and shape of the pre-fired piece. We hope this helps. Cheers.
