Folks, it's no contest. I made the mistake of buying the Bubba Pro Series Knife. The only people who can possibly be happy with that knife have never used the R-12. This thing could chop the Bubba up like a piece of Swiss cheese. The torque, oscillation speed, weight, every facet is superior. The weight of the Bubba with no battery is the same as the R12 with battery, it's more ergonomic, it cleans fish so easily. Bubba? I never ruined a fish with any filet knife before other than the Bubba. It is so underpowered and you have to use so much force to get it to go through a panfish that it is easy to cut one in half. The R12 glides through effortlessly. Do yourself a favor and skip the Bubba.... I wish I would have....

I have had this knife for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it Very fast rpms Way better than any other knife I have used The picture doesn’t show it, but it comes with the case, two batteries, two sets of blades, and the charger

Thank for building a knife that has some speed! It smokes my old bubba knife even though I had it hooked to 12 volts. Very well constructed. On/off switch needs to be put back down on bottom for mor precise control however switch has a sensitive touch and performs well. I prefer shallow scalloped blades that are flat along cutting edge and not curved. Flat ones work better for pan fish. If you have a part number for such a blade that will fit the Rapala R-12,please forward the number to me. Thanks

The battery lasts a long time, works great for cleaning fish on the go. Would buy again

This is the best cordless knife I have ever used. Plenty of power to cut threw larger catfish ribs. There was a bit of a learning curve to get a feel for it but I don't think I'll ever use a regular knife again.

I have used the same Rapala Ion cordless knife for 5 years. In April this year the knife wasn’t performing as needed. Thought it may have been needing new battery but not sure.With the service I got out of that knife I wanted to get a new knife the same quality as that one. Therefore, saw the heavy duty version with 2 batteries and 2 blades figured I couldn’t go wrong. Using the knife this morning it stopped working. It appears the gears may be stripped. Makes a lot of noise and won’t cut. Very disappointed for a knife with this name and price to not even last 2 months.

After burning out 2 bubba electric knives and 6 batteries, I decided to try a different model.I purchased the Rapala knife and just by the feel of holding the electric knife I knew it was better quality.This knife is by far electric knife I have purchased. As a charter boat captain I'm ripping through large amounts of fish with this bad boy. Way more power than the other knives I used.You will not be disappointed
