Replacement Yankee battery
Fixed the problem with my old battery. Biggest complaint the suggested wrench size was not the one I needed. To put on bottom nut!

Updated Li-ion replacement!
Even when I bought my Yankee Flipper in 2013, Ni-Cad batteries were hardly ever found in new devices. Having gone through the original Ni-Cad Flipper battery and a Ni-Cad replacement purchased in 2018, I'm so glad to see that Droll Yankees/Classic Brands has joined the 21st century in offering a Li-ion power stick. For those of you that have never seen or used a Ni-Cad rechargeable battery, imagine that you could not put gas in your car until it was completely empty and that it would take a full day to fill it up. That's what Ni-Cads were like. I won't mansplain further, but you can look it up if you are particularly bored. With Li-ion, we can now charge as often as we feel the need and charging doesn't take nearly as long. With the Yankee Flipper, this is important because you don't want to keep those squirrels waiting! All good with the new Yankee Flipper power stick except for two things:1. The original charger for the Ni-Cad power stick was a 5 volt, .55amp charger. The new Li-ion battery package states that it requires a 5 volt 1 amp charger. The charging tip is the same. So if you were not paying attention, you might use the wrong charger. If you are like me, you likely have one or a dozen chargers laying around that match the required spec, but if not, then you will need, per the manufacturer, to buy a new one.2. This Amazon product page, as of the date of this review, does not have the correct power stick part number listed. It states that you are ordering a "PWRSTK"; that part number is for the old Ni-Cad power stick. The one being produced and sold now is a "PWRSTK-GPT", meaning it is the new Li-ion version. Not saying it's impossible that there aren't some old ones laying around in stock, but since the Li-ion version went into production in late 2020, it's not likely. The listing does not contain a warning about the charger compatibility or an accurate description for the newer version. One final note is that I did call Classic Brands who confirmed the part number and charger info. They were very helpful.

Way longer life than original product
We have a very active back yard and this lasted nearly 3 weeks on the first charge! The original product never lasted near this long.
