‘Shoeless Joe Jackson was born the son of a sharecropper in Pickens County, SC’
Author Ray Walker steps up to the plate as a sports enthusiast and data expert with this fresh compendium of entertaining and illuminating facts about the Chicago White Sox. Though everyone knows the team, even those us who are not baseball aficionados, this well written book flows with facts and trivia that both amaze and entertain. Ray has also written CRAZY SPORTS STORIES, and this book continues his series of Sports Trivia books that include the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, the Boston Bruins, the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Cubs, Detroit Red Wings, Arizona Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, Green Bay Packers, Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, Chicago Bears, the Denver Broncos, the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Tigers, the Texas Rangers, the New York Rangers, the Boston Red Sox, the Colorado Avalanche, the Montreal Canadiens, the Los Angeles Kings, the Minnesota Wild, the New York Mets, and now the Chicago White Sox - so it becomes readily apparent that not only is his knowledge of baseball keen, but also hockey and football. In his introductory comments Ray states, ‘Obviously, you’re inspired by your favorite team. In this case, the team in lights is none other than the Chicago White Sox. One of the original franchises in the American League, and surely on of the best ever in the entire glorious history of Major League Baseball (although archrival Minnesota Twins fans might argue over your claim just a bit). Chicago, (also known as “the Windy City”), has always been filled with wining pro teams…But your Chicago White Sox are extra special. There’s no place in the world to play hardball like their unique home stadium located on Chicago’s South Side, the new Comisky Park, none other than the Guaranteed Rate Field, filled with 40,615 screaming White Sox fans…’And with that impetus for learning some of the facts about this team, the session (aka ‘game’) begins. Each chapter – Origins and History, What’s in a Name, Famous Quotes, White Sox Records, How bout a Trade?, Chats about Stats, Draft Day, Pitcher & Catcher Tidbits, Odds & Ends, Who’s on First, Who’s Got Second, Who’s at the Hot Corner, Who’s at Short, The Outfield Gang, and The Heated Rivalries - is delivered in the form of quiz questions followed (of course) by quiz answers and embellished by even more trivia in a Did You Know? section. For knowledgeable fans and those who would like to become knowledgeable, this book is a fine resource. Impress friends and acquaintances with in depth knowledge of America’s favorite sport. Grady Harp, December 20

This Is An Interesting Book About The Chicago White Sox Baseball Team.
This is an interesting book about the Chicago White Sox baseball team. I liked this book because I learned some new facts that I did not know before reading this book. I read this book for my personal pleasure and personal knowledge. Some of the interesting facts that are mentioned in this book by the author of the book include the following information: The biggest rival of the Chicago White Sox baseball team is the crosstown Chicago Cubs. The Detroit Tigers are the second biggest rival. The Chicago White Sox/South Siders won three World Series titles in their history. From 1901 to 2019, .502 is the White Sox winning percentage. Jacob Nelson 'Nellie" Fox was the third most difficult hitter to strike out in MLB history. Theodore Amar Lyons is the only Hall Of Fame pitcher to record more walks than strikeouts. Manager Tony La Russa led Chicago's drive to the division title under new ownership in 1983.

There is so much to learn about baseball, especially on Chicago White Sox
Baseball has been a favorite game to watch, always wanted to learn how it is played andmost importantly how they catch the ball. Having watched the Chicago White sox playingnumerously, there is no way I could let the opportunity of reading the book pass. First I was notaware that they are over 120yrs old, which translates to excellence and perfection in the field. Ialso did not know the origin of the name Sox, without having read the book. There numerousother facts that I found interesting while trying to answer the questions, some of which I floppedseriously. That does not worry me because I know that Walker has got my back, with the book.Nice and interesting book once more, keep it up and do more of such books.

You know the White Sox’s
A lot of people knows about the White Sox and all that they accomplished. But I would say that anyone can learn even more after reading this trivia book. You can find information like finding out the South Siders, won 3 World Series titles. I found out that Larry Doby was sign first in 1947 before taking over in Chicago, Bill Veeck began the integration of the American League in Cleveland.
