Perfect Slow Cooker!
We had to replace our very old crockpot when the knob broke off. That one had an autoshift mode that made day long cooking a breeze. This goes beyond that with the thermometer. We tried a 6 lb turkey breast with the probe and it worked perfectly. It went to warm once it was done. No work required other than take it out and eat it. It was easy to use and cleanup. It has other features for timed cooking as well. This a larger unit. It's perfect for chili and many other items. The lid look is a nice feature when transporting it and simply to keep it tightly closed when cooking. The lift out crock makes cleanup easy. We were nervous that this would not perform like our 30 year old crock pot but this blew it away.

Most excellent crockpot
Simple to use with electronic control panel. Takes a few minutes to heat up, even on high. Otherwise works well with even cooking and cooking within appropriate timeframe. Love the locking lid. Easy to transport now, fewer spills. Easy to clean. Haven’t used probe yet but is definitely an advantage I plan to use in the future.

Great crockpot
I've used this several times now. It works great. Its my second one and is a newer model than my old one. I still have my old one and it works great but after my husband dropped it, the electric display doesn't work right so you can't really tell the exact time that is programmed in the old one and that's thw only reason I got a new one (my old one is 10 years old). I love my new one and that im able to program it and walk away and know it will kick down to a warm setting after cooking. I do think it runs hotter than my old one but have not had any issues with it affecting the cooking. Love that I can lock the lid down for traveling with no spills.

This slow cooker is great! My first dish was chicken cacciatore
This slow cooker is great! My first dish was chicken cacciatore. It was delicious. I used the probe method, set to cook to 180* and then warm. I had never used a slow cooker before, and this was a very pleasant introduction. The unit seems well-built. It's a little like an oblong corn popper that used to be popular in dorms, with a heavy insert. My research showed that early slow cookers got hot enough to scorch the countertop beneath it, leading to damage or a fire. This unit runs cool enough on the bottom that it can be touched. The sides get hot, as one would expect. I also got the liners, and would recommend them. They are shaped so that if anything spills over, it doesn't foul the unit. When the unit reaches the end of its cooking cycle, either because of the time you've set, or the internal temperature of the food has been reached, it drops back to a warming cycle. So if you're delayed in rush hour, the dish is not ruined. Edit-- I've now had this for about a week. There is an aroma when it's new, but it doesn't affect the food and disappears after several cooking session. I use the liners, and recommend them. I have some plastic containers that hold several quarts. After I serve from the slow cooker, I pull the leftovers out, bag and all, and drop them in the containers. I fold the plastic over and the containers go in the fridge. Reheating the leftovers is the reverse. No cleaning at all -- it's a great system. Edit 2-- I made a turkey breast, and it was great. I diced celery, onions and carrots, and put that mixture in the bottom of the lined crock. I added a package of cranberries and walnuts. (In retrospect, I should have added these later. The cranberries rehydrated too much and lost their character.) The turkey breast went in next, and I poured in a quart of chicken stock. A little dark spice, such as paprika or Emeril's Essence adds a brown color to the skin, which otherwise would be a little pale after cooking. I used the probe to achieve an internal temperature of 170*. It took about 5 hours on high. I used the broth a vegetable mixture to make dressing in a skillet. I used some of the strained turkey broth to dilute a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup, and that was the gravy. So, I made a mock Thanksgiving dinner with 15 minutes of preparation, and 15 minute of "cooking right before serving, and it was excellent.

Great Slow Cooker with One Small Flaw
Ok, I'll get the bad news out of the way first: the keypad/button entry section on the slow cooker does not seem to stick to the unit properly. I'm not sure if it's the adhesive that can't handle being that close to the heating element, incorrect size, or a combination, but whenever I'm using the slow cooker it will warp to where it does not lie flat on the unit's surface. The buttons still work, and I can push the pad back down into place (sort of), but I can definitely see that feature being a deal breaker for some people. Good news: this is a well-functioning slow cooker with some smart features. I have been using slow cookers for a long time (a habit I developed from my mother, who cooked just about everything in a slow cooker). I like the programmable features to set the amount of time/level of heat to cook (since both my husband and I work long hours and neither one of us is home to babysit the slow cooker). One of my favorite features on this slow cooker that was missing from our previous one is the thermometer probe. The probe is really easy to use- stick the pointy end in the meat through the designated hole in the lid, plug the other end into the hole on the side marked for "probe jack", and program the slow cooker to the correct temperature- for example, 165*F for chicken. That's it. Once the meat reaches the desired temperature, the slow cooker will switch to "warm" and leave you with a perfectly cooked meal, instead of some dry, poor excuse for chicken jerky. Though I have not used this feature yet, I do like the fact that I could take a cooked meal on the go in this slow cooker and not worry as much about it spilling because of the clips on the side to secure the lid. Also, the cord wraps neatly underneath the unit for storage. If you're looking for a reliable slow cooker with useful features (and can overlook one annoying flaw, the warp-y button pad), I recommend this slow cooker.
