It describes the CISSP concepts at an altitude that allows for quick reference and mid-level detail. This reference is excellent for refreshing on concepts and terms and has current, useful examples. While not intended as a study guide for the exam, I found it valuable to review the concepts of particular areas of the test in this book, before diving into exam prep via other materials.

CISSP has a very wide scope with multiple domains. Each domain has multiple references recommended by ISC2. For a busy professional like me it was impossible to have time to read through and digest such vast material on my own. This book does a very fine job of distilling the information for you. It also gives practical examples, scenarios on how to apply the frameworks, which is a must to crack CISSP. It is also going to be a go resource in the life of IS Security Professional. Definitely a must have on your bookshelf!

Utilized this CBK in my prep for the ISSAP exam. As the ISSAP CBK was last published in 2014, I wanted to ensure that I was up to date on the latest information in preparation for the exam. This guide was the perfect supplement to the ISSAP CBK. Great read. Thorough. Recommend for CISSP exam prep and more.

I have had my CISSP certification for quite some time now and this reference guide is great! This has helped me to understand key current concepts still. It was also a great reference to see what has changed since I last took my exam.

Although this is just a book and I have many on the topic of CISSP, this one seems to have it dialed in. The writing is clear and direct, plus they have reduced it down 200+ pages from the 5th Edition.

I bought to help me study for the CISSP. Useless if you're buying for that purpose - you're just giving ISC2 more money. If you're actually just buying this as a reference to ensure you understand terms... sure, but I've never needed to look something up in here.

Lots of text sometimes useless, tedious, with little structure and poor examples. You read it because you have to do it to obtain the certification, but you don't enjoy it...

Great content. Unfortunately let down by the cheap print quality - the greyscale diagrams are poor - some of the text (white on grey) is unreadable. Would have expected better quality for the price.
