Well Thought Out!
Approachable and makes understanding analogies uncomplicated. I used it with a fifth grader who found it both enjoyable and challenging.

Good
I have been very please with this. It has good instructions and example for the students. It also builds up the difficulty leading up to a big review. And as you go through the book, it offers reviews that have each type of analogy that has been covered up to that point.

Too easy
This is a good book, but I'm not sure about the 4th-5th grade rating. My 3rd grader breezed through the initial assessment at the beginnning, as did my 4th grader. They're both advanced readers, but they're not that atypical for their grade levels when it comes to vocabulary and reading. I flipped through the rest of the book and it does look to be at the same level as the initial assessment, so I don't think my girls will get much out of this book.

Great practice book
This is a great way to practice something that your children will see on the SATs. Analogies have been used forever but there are few ways to practice these in advance. What is wrong with training yourself to be able to see the patterns? Good test prep.

not much to it
I purchased this book to help my son prep for the SCAT. It was ok I wish it had more to it. The book only has about 20 pgs.
