Wrong Picture Description
What I disliked about this purchase is that they switched the tools. I already have the model on the right which IS the one I ordered and wanted. It is made of metal, the one I received is all plastic. I would like a what you see is what you get when I order something. As for performance, the old model is a work horse and my go to tool. I haven't had a chance put the new model through its paces.

Made my handyman husband happy
My husband isn't just a handyman around the house, he is a professional who is very picky about his tools. I ordered this screwdriver for his birthday and he was leary at first, thinking it was going to be one of those "toy" tools he hates. However, he was pleasantly surprised when he used it for the first time and it now has a place of honor in his toolbox. He loves it because it is very lightweight, well built, and does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is hard to please this man, but Milwaukee did it!!!

Great little driver!
I bought this because the new brushless impact drivers have absolutely ridiculous torque and speed control now. They’re meant for driving 2” screws and larger. My wife helps me out in the shop sometimes and she is unable to finesse the speed when necessary. This little driver is perfect for small screws, and putting together stuff you buy. The first thing I used it for was to put together two new ceiling fans. Set the torque on two, and even the smallest screws in thin metal don’t strip! It’s got power when you need it, but it’s not equivalent to an impact driver. There’s a place for both. I’m a cabinet maker, and this driver is perfect for installing slides, hinges, and all other cabinet hardware. Hope this helps!

Great tool, some problems with quick-change chuck
This is by far the best cordless driver I've owned and it's a pleasure to use.Out of the dozens of bits and accessories I bought for it, two did not work with the quick-change chuck, including this Makita keyless chuck: Makita 763198-1 Keyless Chuck . I noticed the hex end where the accessories attach were a tad longer than the ones that worked. Grinding off about 0.01 inches (0.25 mm) fixed both of them.In case you don't read the manual: You can use the driver like a regular screwdriver when it is *off* to start stubborn screws, which is nice because with the handle you can apply a lot of torque. On cheaper drivers, they tell you not to do this because the head will just spin or you will actually strip the gearbox.

Love them
I have two of these plus some other Milwaukee cordless power tools which use the same battery. This particular drill driver has the fast connect which connects to 1/4" hex drill bits and other drive bits such as different screw driver, and sockets. Compared to the 18v Ryobi drill/drivers which I own, these are light years better, both in quality and in use. The batteries last 4 to 5 times longer between charges as the Ryobi 18.8 Volt batteries. They are just as strong, and maybe a bit stronger than the Ryobi's. The batteries charge faster and last longer. Due to the PWM motors used by Milwaukee, the tool has almost as much power when barely turning as it does with the trigger pulled all the way on, so I have practically complete control for tightening screws or drilling, and such, that combined with the torque settings make this one fantastic tool. Mine are in use every work day with no problems at all. The tool comes in a very handy soft tool bag which makes storage much easier. I place both drivers in the same bag to save space, and due to the large number of tools which I have to carry in my trade I do not use hard cases for any of them in order to save space and easier portability.J W

Compared to Bosch PS21-2A
- - - Compared to Bosch PS21-2A - - -Both are excellent compact drivers.Milwaukee PROs:* Fuel gauge- 5-year warranty (2 year batteries) vs. 3 year (2 year batts) for Bosch PS21- Less expensive (usually)Milwaukee CONs:* 500 rpm is a bit lame for drilling. Bosch is 2-speed (0-350, 0-1300 RPM)* Less compact: Tip to heel is 7.0" inches vs 5.6" for Bosch PS21-2A (see Note 1)- - - Owner Manual - - -The owner manual is clear and helpful, but also riddled with absurdities such as "Always remove the battery before inserting or removing bits." Really? We're supposed to have faith in Milwaukee when they write stuff like this?Other gems: "Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes..."; "After 6 months to one year...return the tool...to a MILWAUKEE service facility for lubrication...inspection...and testing."- - - Pricing - - -If you're patient, you can pick this up on amazon for 89 at low tide.Note 1: Milwaukee appears to have much better side clearance, but in fact the Milwaukee advantage is slight (1.00 inches vs 1.05 inches for Bosch PS21).

dont waste your money on other drivers you cant go wrong spending a little more money and getting a better product. I am a service tech and i use cordless drivers most of my career and i will tell you i have wasted over 200 dollars on them and this one for a 100 with 2 batteries and case and charger was the best buy i made for my work..

One of the best bangs for the bucks I've ever spent
I bought this driver in 2010 and it's still going strong despite frequent use. This driver is amazingly strong and more compact than any other that I've ever seen which makes it more usable in tight places. If it ever dies, I'll buy another on the same day. I bought a large assortment of driver bits and an adapter for 1/4 and 3/8 sockets so it is one of my go-to tools.
