Yes, this keyboard can be used with a Mac. I'm sure it can be used with any DAW if you can get the inputs mapped correctly. I currently use it with Logic and it's fine. Customizing the inputs is something I haven't tried, but I'm sure you probably can if you know how. I would consult Akai pre-sales support. I hope this helps!

I dont actually understand the question, how about rephrasing it with, Is this good for me? AKAI 61 is one of the most beautiful creation ive ever use light weighted keys with velocity sensitive. beginner friendly, with assign knob, means it work with different daws and flat forms such as cubase, ableton, fl studio, etc. this is a must have product and good equipment that you can brag. anybody who will see you with this will be blown away. get it. dont hesitate.
