Equipped to communicate effectively our Christian truths
It's a good book, written especially for those who feel intimidated or insecure to share their faith in Christ to others. Gokul covers lots of very powerful communication tactics which would help to engage in conversation, asking questions, putting the burden on the other side to prove their viewpoints. He teaches us how we can be in a driver seat and maneuver the conversation to the direction we want. I enjoyed reading it. I'm reading it again. Thanks to the author for writing this book.

Must read for day to day Apologetics.
This book is a practical guide, a masterpiece from Pastor Greg Kokul, a must read for everyone involved in Christian apologetics. Greg nails it down with points that everyone can use it on conversational and everyday apologetics.

The single greatest book on how to structure a conversation. (read full review)
This book is great for not only Christian apologetics, but for day to day conversations in general. For perspective, I would imagine that an extremely staunch Athiest, Agnostic, Muslim, Buddhist and many others would still enjoy this book. The book itself is very easy to follow and gets quick to the point. It's far to common that you pick up a book to enjoy, only for it to be the equivalent of reading through sludge, trying to decipher the extraordinarily pompous and unnecessary words jotted on the pages, assumingly just for the sake of superficially elevating itself above others, without fine tuning the sentences themselves. The Author gives real world examples for each individual tactic to give a better understanding on how to apply said tactics.Word choice is excellent, you can tell that the Author put a lot of thought in to writing this book. The sentences are sophisticated enough for Intellectuals to enjoy, but simple enough for the average Joe to understand. I just can't express how enjoyable this book was to read. I personally don't fancy reading the same book a second time, but I just might make an exception for this book. The only downside I can find with this book is that it has been published by Zondervan, whose parent company is HarperCollins, who published the Satanic Bible and the Joy of Gay Sex. Completely vile and distusting. I suggest to find a used version or get a free pdf if possible. I personally wouldn't have ordered it if I knew it was published by Zondervan. On top of that, you are still supporting Amazon, the monopoly giant that squashes it's competition with low prices, or buys them out right.Pros:Fairly short read (200 pages)Straight to the pointEffective tactics and argumentsUseful outside of apologeticsCons:You support HarperCollins and Amazon

Do want a crash course on Logic and Rhetoric?
If the answer is yes, then this book is for you.Koukl's tactics are inspired and sound. If a person does what he advises, puts themselves out there, then after each encounter reviews where they could have improved, I have little doubt they will find themselves getting better and better at being an ambassador for Christ as we are called to be (2Co 5:20-21).Things I like: [1] Starts out focused on things the most timid can do, which is just to push for more information. [2] Emphasis on success being "just getting up to bat" throughout the book. Koukl points to scripture to show, not all are called to harvest, some are just there to garden. [3] Proper credit is given throughout the entire book to the Holy Spirit which is the working agent. [4] There is proper caution to do all this "Keeping a clear conscious" (1Pe 3:16) and being "innocent as doves" (Mat 10:16) [5] Koukl writes beautifully, clearly and efficiently. The footnotes are like a "What to Read Next" list. This book is the type of book worthy of reading more than once, taking notes on, and then referring to. I intend to take notes on it, and in the same document make notes of things I've learned from encounters, along with my favorite passages of scripture about overcoming fear.I started reading this in 2021, then stopped, then started reading it again from the beginning. The problem for me is while the logic is sound, and my limited use of the tactics shows they do work, this book is at least a level above where I am at right now emotionally. I am so emotionally terrified of any interactions outside set determined patterns I don't do anything or I run out of the room when these types of conversations come up. It is only through the grace of God I'm able to feel comfortable and safe at my local church and in my church group. On my second attempt of the book I felt very convicted, then depressed, but now I am actually a little optimistic. I only have practice with the Colombo tactic a little, having read that portion in 2021, but it does indeed work.May favorite chapter is "#17 Inside Out", I'm still remember the mild-depression and the despair of Atheism I was in not three years ago. I am reminded of the despair everyday at work with my coworkers. This chapter focuses on using those moments, when Atheist are honest about their despair or the nihilism of their world view to be the ambassador for Christ our Father wants us to be.My second favorite chapter is "#19 More Sweat, Less Blood", the last chapter. It ends the book on the good note, emphasizing it is God who gives the increase but there is benefit to being prepared and ready before hand. If I could make one suggestion for the third edition, if it is ever produced, provide scripture references for "The Ambassador's Creed". On the other hand I'll enjoy the homework of hunting them down.
