This monks cloth is perfect for hand punching with a size 4 yarn. I’m not sure what size needle I have bc I am new to the craft. Thank you so much for this quality material!

I have used this tufting fabric twice before! The cloth I received was excellent and I was able to make a couple rugs just fine with it. No problems at all!I recently ordered for a third time and this cloth seemed to be lesser quality than the other two times. When my tufting gun went into the cloth it would not move. The fabric did not seem to be flexible enough for the gun to move on to another hole. It ended up just creating large holes in my test patches on the cloth.If they can improve upon this then I would absolutely recommend but if this is their last batch then I would look for a different material.

I always purchased this material for punch needle techniques and it hold fine. However I have started tufting and this material is far too flimsy for the pressure needed for a tufting gun. I have tufted with other monks cloth and had no issue but this one refused to stay firm and holes kept popping up so i had to keep stopping to sew and patch holes. Otherwise it is worth the money for the amount received. I have not had any issues with it doing needle work or hand punching.

arrived in good time. and the fabric works with the punch needles. I am a beginner, so learning . I have used #8 fine with yarn, and # 5.5 punch needles. and the yarn stayed. the yarn weight, not sure, just a normal size. not bulky or rug yarn.

Fabric has vertical stripes of bright white woven in; hopefully these won't be obvious after I dye the fabric. Otherwise the material is exactly as described.

My mother an experienced cloth purchase and cloth worker, tells me that this pattern of the cloth is not correct. It should have the 4 cord patterned.

This a great fabric for large punch needles
