Rather slow to get going.
I like fast moving stories, this isn't one of those. Although he is a good writer and will appeal to a lot of readers not my taste I'm afraid.

Brilliant
Thank you Anna Jacobs for this brilliant tale, took me a few chapters to get in to but in the end I couldn't put it down and loved it. Would like to think there is going to be a sequel but I think I already know the answer to that. Thank you again Anna, now on to the next book.

A well told story
Anna Jacobs has a very pleasant way of introducing the reader to her characters and then to lead her readers into their lives. An enjoyable read

Wonderful Read!
This was a wonderful read about an ageing pop star and a popular author who end up living next door to each other on Chestnut Lane. This short read is about the dramas that occur in the lives of these two middle age people. They each have grown children and grandchildren and then the "fun" begins. It details the sorrows that happen in every day life when the author's daughter becomes involved in recreational drugs and gets raped at her place where she worked as a waitress. The pop stars son is in the middle of trying to get away from an alcoholic wife who neglected his children. He hasn't seen his father since he was a baby but needs his help and travels to London and a relationship develps with the children and a Nany coming to live with him on Chestnut Lane. They share their troubles and develop a remantic relationship that leads to him asking her to marry him. They have to avoid the Paparazzi and trouble pursues from that causing several hardships. A must read!

Chestnut Lane by Anna Jacobs
Chestnut Lane by Anna Jacobs is a modern romance with enough variety to keep the mind ticking along. Jez the pop star, Sophie the author, a multitude of greatful and ungreatful children, differently crazy ex-partners plus a memorable sleezebag named Eric. And, who could forget the horse chestnut trees, a quaint wooden gate, a mindful of inhibiting secrets and streets paved with scandle seeking paparazzi. I enjoyed my escape into this easily enjoyable read, five stars.
