Fantastic Cookbook with High-level Recipes & Great Philosophy
I absolutely love Tivoli Road Bakery's dedication to delicious flavors, time-old techniques, and local growers. I baked their sourdough loaf and it turned out beautifully! I cannot wait to try other recipes. Each image is gorgeous and makes me eager to bake my own version, and I love reading about the growers and people who make the bakery flourish.Just be warned, this is not a book for novice bakers (besides the ones that love time-consuming recipes and a challenge). One thing that bothered me about the design: the type for the body of the recipes is way too small.

Fantastic book with consistently brilliant recipes
This book is an indepensible and delightful addition to any baker. Extremely well written, it takes its time to outline the philosophy and approach of Tivoli Road and owner/head baker Michael James, while at the same time providing clear advice on baking practices.The recipes vary from simple to complex but all are easy to follow and the end results have been consistently delicious - we honestly haven't tried a review we haven't loved. And some recipes have set the bar so high - the doughnuts and croissants are incredible.With sections including sourdough bread, viennoserie, pastries and savory I was initially hesitant as to whether I'd use the whole book. But the more recipes I tried the more I've wanted to try and from all sections of the book - Michael and his team have crafted a series of achievable recipes that I thoroughly recommend everyone purchase this wonderful book.

Best Sourdough and Baked Goods Cookbook I Own
Michael and Pippa James have written a beautiful cookbook filled with delicious easy to follow recipes for the home baker. I was having difficulty with my sourdough recipe and a very experienced baker recommended I purchase The Tivoli Road Baker and a thermometer! These two items were game changers in my sourdough journey. With Michael’s previous experience as a chef and his transition to a baker the recipes are easy to replicate and delicious. I particularly love the inclusion of the individual supplier stories that are scattered throughout the book. So many passionate people producing superior food products here in Australia (and globally if you go looking for them). I highly recommend purchasing The Tivoli Road Baker to everyone who has an interest in baking and feeding their friends and family members delicious baked goods.

Inspiring, well explained and highly recommended.
I really loved this book. I had trouble with getting a rye starter going, and the guidance made it simple and it worked. First try out was the buttermilk and rye bread. It is fantastic and quite easy. No heavy kneading required. It is not just bread. Pastries, cakes, scones, sandwich fillings (also tried - excellent) and much more. It makes you want to try out the recipes, rather than think you might and never do.
