Lao-English and English-Lao Dictionary: Roman and Script - Complete with Lao Alphabet Guide

携帯するのに軽くて、単語数もそこそこあり、ラオと英語のどちらからも検索ができ、かつアルファベットでの発音記号がついているので、大変重宝してます。paper basedのラオス語辞書なら買いだと思います。

Came very fast, very thorough book and very helpful.

In studying a language, it is beneficial to have a practical dictionary. Often you can't find a word in the text and a dictionary gives a wider scope of the language. This is a three-way dictionary: it has English-Lao, Lao (transliterated)-English, and Lao (script)-English (and Lao transliterated). A dictionary is especially helpful when learning to write Lao sentences. Using creative or humorous words can make learning easier.

The english phonetics is hard to read especially since I already know how to read laoglish ex. ph=p (not f) p=b (like in bun). This book doesn't help much, after skimming through it once I haven't touched it since and just use google translate.

Being in Isaan territory, I haven't had a chance to check the Lao written form yet, but the English to Lao, and Transliterations to Lao are quite helpful out here. The three sections are nice, though once the basic phonetics are mastered, the transliteration section will be virtually useless I assume. For a reference (especially for starters), it's a great buy, and worth having if you will be travelling to Northeast Thailand (Isaan area)or Laos.
