The wax does not remove hair very well at all. Will it work better if i use strips to remove it?

Strips will not be much helpful. In order for the wax to work on the first try, the heat is the factor. The wax texture needs to be silky, not tacky (please test on a small area of skin because in order for it to be silky, it has to be hot) in order for it to remove the hair consistently.

Its not pulling my hair off. what am i doing wrong? I read something about the wax not being good enough?

Is your hair very fine? If so, that is probably your issue. I find it harder to wax the upper parts of my legs because my hair is so thin. Try applying it both ways, against the grain and pulling up, and with the grain and pulling up. Find which way works best for you. If neither way works, your hair is probably just too thin.

First use, I didn't use the pot and put the wax directly in the warmer. is it ruined? can i just clean it out?

I doubt it's ruined, but you may have to continue to put the wax directly in the warmer from now on. The only way I think you can clean it out is to melt the residue and scrape it out when it's warm. My pot did not come completely clean when I removed the leftover wax. If it were me I would warm it up, get as much out as you can and continue to use it but with the pot in. In my opinion it is not ruined and you can clean it out and keep using it. Hope this helps

Does kit include the cloth strips?

No. This wax kit doesn't use cloth. It is a hard wax. Meaning the wax hardens as it cools. You just peel of the wax once it is cool and hard.
