I just found out... I dropped my pan on my 08 colorado 2.9L RWD. This filter is too short. We need the one that, when installed, comes down 3 inches from the trans mating surface. This one is under 3 inches, so if you do manage to get it in there and installed, it could potentially drop a bit down, if not all the way out of the seal passage, which would then cause the fluid to basically bypass the filter. Not good.
