Boom! Studios Buffy the Vampire Slayer Vol. 2

Massive letdown after a great first volume
Volume one was so promising! Slick artwork with characters that looked like the actors, interesting storytelling and a pretty successful attempt to bring the scoobies into 2019.What happened in volume 2??? Did they get sued??? The artist changed, the artwork is frankly garbage and the plot is really poor. I'm super disappointed...Pic of Giles in vol 1 and vol 2 attached as evidenced. It's actually pretty funny the more I look at it.

Don't bother - the artwork is so poor, not like volume 1.
Two of the creators in the first volume are not in the second and third (I don't now about the rest, I'm not buying any more of these). Obviously, these were the talented ones, because in volume two the artwork is so poor, you wouldn't be able to identify the characters from the series. They did such a good job in volume one, it really made you stop reading and just appreciate the artwork, how they got the characters just right. The story is much better in volume one as well, the quality of writing just so much better in the first volume than in two and three. It's very childish in two and three, less of the witty sarcasm and quips and simply banal in some places. I wish I hadn't bought volume three (or two), but I was hoping it would get better. It didn't. If you really enjoyed the first volume, you'll probably be disappointed by the subsequent ones. Such a shame.

Obscene drop in quality from Volume 1
I bought (and loved) Volume 1 of this reboot, so I couldn't wait to get stuck in to volume 2. Unfortunately they changed artists between them, and I'm not sure the new artist has ever seen a human face. Absolutely shocking mess. The image on the left is Willow in Volume 1, and on the right is Volume 2. And no, this wasn't some monster-of-the-week episode where Willow changes into a chimp.Unfortunately the same artist seems to be on board for the rest of the series so I'm out.

Give it a chance.
I love this series. I think it's taking new chances yet still staying in the familiar and much loved world that Whedon has created. Give it a chance.

Great story but disappointing art
The story is still really interesting and fun but the art is horrendous compared to the first volume, it looks so rushed and just not cared about at all.
