Nectar Fortress™ Natural Ant Repellent; Multi-Purpose Clear Gel Ant Guard for Hummingbird Feeders (Single)

I tried this because ants kept getting into my hummingbird feeder. Did a lot of searching/reading and decided to give this a try. It’s all natural and doesn’t harm animals/birds. Totally works! It was a whole year before I had to apply more, and that was only because I accidentally messed up (touched) the barrier. My MIL has many bird feeders and they were all being invaded by ants (especially the jelly). Sent her this, she tried it, no more ants! It’s a life saver for those of us that want to continue to feed birds.

I just used this Ant Repellent gel on my hummingbird feeder & no more ants! This is the first day I put it on so I’ll update my review if it washes away for stops working. Now my little hummers can eat in peace! I made fresh sugar water for my feeder & there are no more ants invading my feeder. Great find!

I place a bead of the gel around the metal stand that supports my hummingbird feeders and they won't cross over it. I am using it on three stands in my yard with no more ants on my feeders. Without it there would be steady trails and ants floating inside of them. It doesn't wash off easy either. One application typically lasts about a year. (We have year round hummers)

In my search for some way to deter ants from reaching my hummingbird & oriole feeders that I have hanging on a shepherds hook, I came across this product. I was apprehensive that it would do the job but it was so inexpensive I decided to give it a try!It was so easy to apply. It’s a gel, so you just apply from the tube right to the base of the hook & I also applied it about 3-4 inches higher than the base for extra precaution. My feeders have been up for a month now & I have not had one single ant in my feeders. It says that it’s weather proof but I did reapply after 6 days of torrential rains in our area. I am very happy with this product & would recommend it to anyone who needs to control ants!!!!!

This is the best product ever. It's always a struggle to keep ants out of my hummingbird feeders. I think if one's feeders are hanging, there shouldn't be any way for ants to get to the feeders, but if one uses a pole to hang the feeders, ants are happy to climb right up the pole and into the feeders. This product keeps ants from climbing the pole. I admit I was pretty skeptical, but I watched a video showing ants not crossing the line of this material applied to the pole, and it was enough to convince me to give the product a try. It works just like the video -- by that I mean I haven't had any ants in my feeders. I bought another tube of this after seeing how well the initial tube worked, and I'm sure I'll purchase more. Hope they keep making it, because it's miraculous.

This stuff is amazing! I have tried all kinds of ant motes but they always get by. I really wanted to find something because the hummingbirds really love a particular tree in my yard but so do the ants. I put this gel on the hooks of three of my feeders and I have not had one ant get into the nectar. I actually watched an ant walk up to the gel and turn around. So far, I have not had to re-apply. Will buy again!

Honestly, I'm a sceptical person but this stuff really does repel ants. Once the sugar ants discover the humming bird feeder it's game over. Hummers don't like ANYTHING in their nectar. Spread this gel around the base of the shepherd's hook or whatever you use to hold your feeder and it will disrupt the ants chemical path to tell others where the sugar is. I usually apply at the base and closer to the feeder to stop any ants the wind might blow in. Apply twice a season for best results.

My hummer feeder hangs from a pole which ants used to get to the nectar. An ant moat didn't work, they found ways to get around it. THEN I found this product and just one squirt around the pole did the trick. The ants will not cross it. I highly recommend it!
