The tool fits the cables, however, the cables are tight in the connectors and also rusted. Even after using penetrating oil, I had to cut the cables and knock them out with a punch and chisel.I then tried on a new cable and it did help to secure the cable into the connector but did not have enough leverage with the short handles to remove the new one either. Probably should be called an install tool, not a release tool. I would not purchase again

Tried to use to release e-brake. Bent . Was unable to use do too it bending . Made one from channel locks. Do not buy.

Maybe it was me or the cable was frozen, but it did not work. Design definitely appears to be perfect for the job but did not release 3cable for me

Bent the handle 2nd time I tried to use it.

Bought it to make my job easier - but it was easier by not using the tool

Works exactly as it’s supposed to. Decent price point and arrived a day earlier than expected.
