Brilliant
Best kettle I've ever owned ! 3 years old now and still working flawlessly. Still looks good too. Fast boil, easy to fill ( to those saying the plastic filler lid is flimsy, it"s not , unless you ram the tap into it lol ) . Would buy another, but I reckon it will go for another 3 years at this rate 😊

Very nice kettle. Lid flap is a great idea...but unreliable
Boils at the same rate as other 3KW kettles, not too noisy but not silent either and cord is fairly short, about .5M and the LED light isn't too bright and looks nice. The flap on the lid means that you don't have to pull the lid to fill, just run the tap on the lid flap and the force of the water opens it allowing the kettle to fill. Great price and would have no hesitation in recommending it. Just hope it's reliable long term. Edit: it isn't reliable long term. The lid broke and Daewoo sent me a new lid with no questions. Almost like I wasn't the first. Few months later, something electronic broke in the kettle and now it only starts to boil for 10 seconds and then shuts off with the switch still on. Doubt I'm buying another or anything else from Daewoo.

After a few weeks this kettle seems ok
This kettle was bought to replace a Philips model which was considerably more expensive. Unfortunately, tap water in our part of the world kills any electrical appliance which uses said water (kettles, immersion heaters, espresso machines, dish washers, washing machines and electric showers). It really is brutal. Our Kettles, One Cups and Espresso Machines all get filled with water that has been filtered-filters need replacing typically within two and a half weeks. All this information is for future reference (I will be updating on the durability as use increases). Back to the kettle: It seems well made, quite a solid feel to it. The "Easyfill Lid" surprised me-it works! Capacity is about 1.7 ltrs and comes to a boil pretty fast. Minimum volume is 500ml (0.5 ltr)-Instant Noodles in less than a minute (plus standing time obviously). When the kettle is in use it is quite obvious-it is illuminated by bright blue LED(s?). It's a shame the LED lighting doesn't change to red when boiling point is reached but that's not a deal breaker. The kettle only has On or Off with the usual cut off at boiling point. You are not getting variable temperature control with this model. Being glass you will always get and see condensation on the inside of the kettle which spoils its looks a bit but you'll get used to it. There are a lot of kettles to choose from out there-some very cheap and some eye wateringly expensive. This Daewoo model is reasonably priced for the quality. Based on my own purchase and usage I'll be buying another Daewoo kettle when the hard water eventually kills this one-after all, it's not its fault Thames Water doesn't remove the harsh minerals from their water supply.

AVOID
Seemed like a good Kettle but only lasted 9 months. Amazon do not abide by UK consumer laws and won't help after 30 days as I have learnt from past experience (you have to take them to small claims court). Daewoo also have the same stance and think their internal policies overrule the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. DO NOT buy expensive items from Amazon and DO NOT buy Daewoo products.

Highly functioning, useful, and good looking kettle. Highly efficient, and energy-saving.
Item looks just like the photo. Survived overseas shipping. Hired an electrician to install a 240V circuit in our kitchen, plug in the kettle, and within minutes, 1.7 L water is boiled and ready for tea, or other of the myriad wants in the kitchen. Attractive LED ring lights a base ring inside the kettle, both pretty and functional to show the activity in the kettle. Of course, automatic shutoff works. Neat feature is the quick-fill design with a spring loaded flapper in the lid, which allows one to fill the pot without removing the lid. While we can’t fool Mother Nature (as all the wind and solar advocates are learning), and physics, which has never lost, dictates so much energy is required to raise the temperature of water to 100º C, and how one heats matters. Lower heat source loses more heat to the air in the kitchen. Same with a flame - much of the heat is lost. With the Daewoo's 3kW, the boiling starts as soon as one pushes the start tab, and in minutes is done. WONDERFUL. This is how green really looks. Time will tell how well it holds up in the long run. That will be an open question for a while. Looks good so far.

Hot
Our faithful kettle died and we replaced it with an Amazon Basics job that looked to be the same as the old one. It worked, but it was slow (said 2.2kW but took sooo loooong to boil). So decided to try something different and go with this one. Initially we were worried about the 'easy fill' flap, and it turns out to be a concern but not in the way expected. Rather, it is brilliant, and so mind-numbingly simple that it's easy to forget other kettles don't have it. Muscle memory then means water all over the floor as you try to fill through a closed lid. Importantly, this one is fast. When the ad says 3kW they really mean it, and that means no waiting for the first cuppa of the day. However, the main reason for writing this review is that the lid broke the other day. Still fitted, but try and remove it and the bottom part fell inside. The easy-fill flap meant it could still be used because the lid didn't have to be opened to fill it, but clearly its time was up. Went off to the Daewoo website to see if they did spares and wound up having a new lid posted out gratis, because even though this is now 2 years and 9 months old, it was fixed under warranty. You only find out how good support is when you have to use it, and I can say that Daewoo support is faultless.

Broke just under a year
Had this kettle for just under a year and it broke. That was my only issue. Had a cheap plastic one from Asda that lasted 4 years so quite surprised by that. I absolutely love the design and the sleekness of it just think it should have lasted a lot longer than a year. One day suddenly cut out.

I really should have bought one of these ages ago
Not long ago I bought a Netta kettle. I was looking through the reviews, they all seem good and so I bought it. It didn't take very long to realise that despite the fact that it was a pretty decent, well made kettle - it dribbled. It dribbled badly. It dribbled when I was filling up a cup of coffee and if I was filling up anything with a bit more vigor it didn't just dribble, it flowed, it flowed so badly that it looked like the bottom was leaking. And I am pretty certain it was around the same pricepoint as this Daewoo. Anyway, enough of the Netta, I had to get a non-dribbling, fast boiling kettle, but this time I asked a question of the fantastic purchasers here on Amazon: "did it dribble?" The answer was a resounding 'no'. It is a brilliant kettle, 1.7l of water is a lot, easily enough to fill my bowl for washing dishes (solar panels make it free in the daytime). It is noticeably faster than my own kettle at 3000w and the pièce de résistance is the absolutely marvellous way one fills it. No more holding down a button with your thumb whilst simultaneously holding it under the tap, or removing the lid completely. Just hold it there and let the pressure/gravity of the water falling on the centre filling cap do it for you. Oh my! If you fill it right up it will get pretty heavy as it is not a small kettle by any means, this feature will help those who may find it so by enabling the use of both their hands to hold the kettle under the tap. What I did was to have my small plastic measuring jug which holds enough water got a very large mug, and I use that to ferry water from the tap to the kettle on the worktop - works for me! On top of that the warranty can be extended by two years by going online and registering it. You will need to attach proof of purchase and you will receive an email to confirm when done, I suggest printing this out along with the invoice. The first year will be with Amazon, the other two with Daewoo. In short then, superb kettle, fastboil, large water quantity, supremely simple and novel filling method with a 3 year warranty for under £30. What's not to love?
