Good grinder.
I was using the Harbor F chief angle grinder and despite the difference in the specs favoring the chief i think this grinder is better. This grinder is a bit longer making it easier to hold and the rubberized cover gives it more grip. Despite being heavier than the chief on a scale they feel the same on my hands. The locking mechanism on the trigger is also easier to close on this grinder with one hand because the lock is larger. What i really like about this grinder is that it has a spindle lock button on the side, i hated having to look for the thin tool that came with the chief. This grinder also comes with a thin wrench tool but you can use any wrench to tighten.I'm using the grinder with a husky 30 gallon compressor and it works perfectly with it. It takes exactly 24sec of continuous use for the compressor to kick in from 175 to 135 PSI, after its on the compressor will keep running but give it enough air to use. The grinder is not too loud when in use. The grinder doesent include a hose fitting or air tool oil.

Somewhere between Central Pneumatic and Ingersoll Rand. Great, affordable, powerful Craftsman
Most of my tool comparisons are always between some of first Central Pneumatic tools and some of my later and nicer Ingersoll Rand tools. This Craftsman is definitely up towards the top near my Ingersoll Rand. Like most of the line, it runs at 90 PSI. I have a small 6 gallon compressor and I don't think I'm getting the most out of the tools with it, but it does work. It just seems like it could use a boost. It's durable, and has some weight to it without being too heavy. I'm a smaller 5'7" woman and I have long hair. It's kind of a circumstance preference but I love how the air on this one isn't blowing back in my face. It comes out in the rear. I also love the grips on it. I end up keeping the grease off the tool, and the callousing off my hands as much. It has plenty of speed and works with pretty much any sanding disk I have. I also like the compact size of this one. It can reach tight spots. The built in muffler does a fairly good job of dulling out the sound, although ear protection is still a must. My garage echoes. It didn't come with accessories, but I can use threaded or smooth shaft without issue. It gets into tight areas on the deck and on the car. I could probably stand to get a bigger compressor to use it with, but so far no issues since it just needs 90 PSI. It gets about 21000 rotations per minute in. Great for cleaning gaskets, swingarms, or anything rusty. Doesn't break the bank, lasts and has a generous three year warranty. Hoping this one is the last one I need for quite some time. I do intend to upgrade my compressor, though.

Expected Quality from Craftsman
I have been working on cars with my family since well before I could drive. For years, even after I bought my own house, my classic car has been stored at my fathers garage, where he has a slew of old school craftsman tools, including all of the air tools I ever needed. Having finally cleared out our garage it was time to stock up on a set of air tools so I didn't have to always borrow. This latest offering from craftsman is a lot different than the 40 year old versions I was used to. They are a little lighter, a lot better feeling in the hand, but seemed just as powerful. This was the one tool I grabbed that wasn't in my fathers shop by I had borrowed from others in the past. Its one of those tools you can skip over because you can kind of do the same thing with other tools. But once you have one you will never go back! One minor note, as with most air tools, don't forget to pick up a few fittings to connect the tool to your system.Good quality product, as I have always expected from craftsman.

Should have ordered it sooner :)
I have long wanted to purchase an angle grinder, as it is SUCH a useful tool! My father had one that I used frequently when I was younger, and it was nowhere near as nice as this tool! This grinder is very powerful, and while I didn't do a side-by-side comparison, it sure seems quieter as well!Of course, the standard 1/4" collet allows for a huge variety of rotary tools to be used. The collet nut is simple to grab with a wrench and has large flats. The safety mechanism on the switch is surprisingly not annoying at all.

Worked flawlessly all week while working on the Foxbody mustang
I’ve been using craftsman tools for years now. When I went to school for autobody it was required that you had professional tools which these were listed as a brand I could get.I’ve been using this die grinder all week and happy to report that it’s worked flawlessly. Be sure to add a couple drops of oil in the tool so it doesn’t get any rust. If you do that this grinder will last years and years.Clearly these are not Snapon, Matco, Mac tools but at the same time these craftsman tools don’t break the bank like the above brands.Imo the air tools are just as good or at least close to Snapon, matco. I would never say that above the hand tools.

High speed angle grinder
Another well built Craftsman Air tool. Mostly metal with a rubberized coating for durability and comfort, the tool is comfortable to grip and the trigger is easy to adjust if slower speeds are needed. There is a button on one side to lock the spindle and a tool is included to change the bits, which are the standard air angle grinder bits available everywhere. Not too loud and grinds fast enough for my needs, normally to remove rust or for polishing metal. 90 psi is the operating pressure, and I am having no issues using it with my nominal 20 gallon tank compressor.

Very handy tool to have around
My husband has been wanting an angle grinder for a while, but it's one of those tools he wouldn't use very often so he's never taken the leap and bought one. I ordered this as a birthday present for him. After using this one a few times he says he's glad he waited to order one. This one is much lighter than the ones he used when he was younger and it's much quieter. The handle is comfortable to hold, too. If you have been thinking about buying a grinder and, like my husband, haven't done it yet then my husband recommends this one.
