Moen YB8099BC Mason Paper Holder, Brushed Chrome

THis turned out to be too wide for our holder and wasn't able to use them

I bought this thanks to another reviewer gave me the length of the toilet paper holder. I would have preferred the older brass version but people were saying it was too short for my needs. Anyway, if you are looking for a replacement with the "fat" ends (approx 5/8" width) then this will do the trick.I was worried about some different rolls being too short to fit. This brushed chrome holder measures about 6-1/2" in length, however I would take a quarter-inch off that so the spring will snap into place. If you need even more length, this is not the product for you.Appearance-wise, it looks like grey plastic, not "brushed chrome" and the end caps you see on the image do not exist; it's just an open hole. I would steer clear if you want something that looks like real chrome. Still better than no toilet paper holder at all.

This holder is not easy to use, and I prefer one with a spring that’s not as tough to use.

Be careful before you buy. This product has larger ends than my standard toilet paper holder and did not fit. I threw them away.I will add that they were of decent quality and a good value if your need a holder with larger ends.

First let me say it is metal so that is good but…. The reason why I don’t use it: it comes apart and this every time the roll needs to be switch, so end up having to keep the spring and 2 pieces inside the new roll trying to install every time gets annoying after a couple of times so just opted to find one that stays together as one piece

So in our home we have two restrooms. We also have a toddler who likes to give "gifts" to our rambunctious puppy (who gladly accepts them) well this past week the toddler gave the gift of not one but two toilet paper roll holders to our dog while the adults of the household were for lack of a better phrase caught with our pants down and couldn't run after them. Anyway I ordered two of these Moen universal paper holders, they arrived quickly. One fits great in our more modern bathroom and the other fits okay in our older bathroom that has a thinner opening and so we are just using it as a tension based holder there as it doesn't actually fit in to the slots. For most newer and common tp holders this should do the trick.these are a great price too- it beat driving to the hardware or plumbing stop to see if they sold them.

The 2 halves are not connected or press fit together and come apart. So you take the roller out of the holder, tip it to get the empty cardboard roll off of it and one half separates and falls in the toilet.

This toilet paper roll holder. Does not stay together nor did it come together. The ends are too big to fit my on my roller and the spring is too long for the casing. The ends of roll do not look like the one in the picture as it is open, wide open. Completely useless. And now I'm trying to figure out how to return it. There doesn't seem to be that option. But I'm not keeping it, and I'm not donating my money.. soo they better have something I can do.

I am giving this a 4 star bc once you take it out of the holder it comes apart! You have to put it together including the string inside! Overall works just has the extra step

Does exactly what it's supposed to do, great price. Would purchase again if I needed another.
