Optical Coupler, Toslink Digital Audio Extension Cable Connector Adapter, Female to Female, 2-Pack

I added 6 ft to a 10 ft cable. I like how tight it is and no worries of it coming loose on its own. Others have said the fit is too tight and hard to remove without breaking. I would think for most people this is a permanent connection that will need decoupled almost never.

It's cheap and works. What else do you need?

I used it to extend my optic cable. Went the cheaper route by connecting two cables together with this adapter. Works well. No issues

Works but sometimes a little too hard to attach/detach

First, the input sleeve isn't shaped the way the Optical / Toslink connector is shaped. Causing a very difficult fit. (Once it's joined together with your cable, it is very difficult to take apart) I joined two brand NEW optical cables with this coupler. It did NOT work. You can clearly see the red beam from both the ends of the cables, (That were both tested on the actual device, a Sony MDS JE520 minidisc player / recorder), and both worked beautifully. However, once joined by this device, despite seeing the red beam to the receiving end, (An Aiyima Tube-T9 amplifier), neither of the two pass any signal to the amplifier. Do NOT buy this poorly built device. It's not even worth the effort or cost efficient for me to return them. If Amazon wishes me to continue being a paid Prime member, they need to make this right. (And not by crediting the money spent. But by sending me a better brand of coupler)

Bought these after feeding a too short optical cable into the wall and didn’t want to remove everything to start over.Perfect fit for the Amazon basics optical cable. Fits together well, easy to detach if you need to. Not sure about other brands but I don’t see why it would be any different. Sound quality did not change.

Works jes dandy. No complaints. Love that I can lpurchase stuff like this on Amazon, now that Radio Shack has disappeared.

I connected the two males to the female and did not get any audio, however, the light came on in the receiver box of the Bose system. Not sure what the problem is with the audio coming through the Bose sound system. Connection on the HTTX female to female were very tight and hard to connect. Again not sure what the problem is with the audio.

Couplers worked perfect. Was able to pair up my arcade racing games thanks to these.
