Make Your Art No Matter What: Moving Beyond Creative Hurdles

Great uplifting read for artists
A wonderful source of encouragement before I start painting each morning. I love how the author respects all artists, paid or not to make art no matter what!

Generic
This book is OK but a little generic and I don't feel there is much here that is specifically relevant to artists. There's a lot of advice about pushing on and getting things done despite what is going on in your life, which can apply to art as it can to work or anything else.A better title would be "Get Things Done No Matter What" without trying for the Art angle, but I guess the author wanted a USP.The author admits very early on that she is not an artist or maker herself but is writing this as a "gift" to those who are, in return for the way that art enhances her life.It all seemed a bit lame to me and I feel that someone who does not actually make art themselves is not in the best position to give advice to artists.

Excellent
I don’t get the review that says that this book is generic. I found it totally relevant to artists, just as the title implies. I often find as an artist that I lose myself when I don’t do my art and find myself as I do it again. We need kind and compassionate supporters like this author who has a deep understanding and appreciation for us. I also liked the book ‘The Reflective Artist’ by Sophie Rose Peters
