I got the 4wt and i use it on a 8.5' 4wt rod with medium fast action. Absolutely perfect taper for me atleast. Excellent on short casts while maintaining the power to go long. NO LINE MEMORY, super supple (opposite of my experience with rio lines). Just a great all around line which is what you need with a 4wt in my opinion.

I bought a 6WT line for my 6WT 9' Redington rod. The casting feels very heavy. On multiple false casts as the line gets longer, I can feel the line starting to dip. Have not fish with it yet, but will probably tire you out after a full day of casting.

Great all around line. Let’s face it, you need a line you can fish everyday everywhere. This is it. I had tried an AirFlo which casted beautifully as long as you were throwing 40’ of line, not practical. This line will shoot well, and you can fish it at any casting length.

Speedy and safe delivery despite the Coronavirus challenge. Ordered this with a Lamson Liquid reel and they work well together. Matching the MPX fly line with a Fenwick 6 weight Aetos rod. MPX is a half size heavy line and it loads the fast action Aetos rod well and casts great. Price of the fly line and the reel were competitive and with free Prime shipping. This line replaces the legendary Scientific Anglers GPX fly line. I have used this line in 5,6 and 7 weights for trout and Smallmouth and it is the most versatile line I have ever used. It is a 1/2 weight heavier line with a powerful front taper that will turn over large, wind resistant flies while still effectively loading your rod for the shorter casts and mending common to a lot of stream fishing. You can skip most of the specialty fly lines and go with this outstanding fly line and never miss a beat!!

This is the line of choice for any practical fishing distance. It mates very well with my 9' 5wt Fenwick Aetos, producing consistent loops and excellent deliveries. It does this without any of the fussiness I've read about in other manufacturers' lines. Out to 50 feet, it casts with less effort than anything else I have used, and from 55' to 70' it is still in its sweet zone. At the terminal end, it will pass the right turn-over impulse to the leader, and from there, the quality of your presentation depends on your care in matching the leader to the job.
