Carrot Seed Oil by Leven Rose, 100% Pure Unrefined Cold Pressed Moisturizer for Hair Skin and Nails 2 oz

I wish I had taken photos from the before, but I didn’t have high hopes, as nothing has helped me in the last few years, and I have tried everything possible and spent countless money. I have MCAS and a specific allergy to coconut/palm/all derivatives. It doesn’t sound bad unless you’re familiar with it. These ingredients are in 99% of cosmetic items. Toothpaste, pretty much all soap, all shampoos and conditioners, toilet paper, tampons- and all skin care items. Coincidentally, one of my largest symptoms of MCAS is acne, but I can’t use any products… so I’m a 32 year old woman with a constant flare of acne, scars and discolored skin. The triad- yay for me! Pure emu oil is the only thing I have been able to use as a moisturizer, but it’s heavy, really oily and hasn’t cleared up any acne or scars. I ordered this on a whim based on a comment I found that said it helped their acne and they have my allergies. Within one use, my skin looked better. 10 days of use and my skin is GLOWING. I’m not using anything else (not even a cleanser) and my fresh scars are nearly gone. My older scars are lightened significantly. My eyebrows started growing back in their bald spots, so I’m trying it on my scalp and hair. My hair is shiny and soft again. I have used up half the bottle in 10 days because I’m using it as a whole body moisturizer and on other scars. My body has a hard time healing wounds and this is working swimmingly. Once upon a time I was able to use a popular brand of scar-fade ointment, but it never worked like this does. I will happily keep ordering two bottles a month to finally be able to go without makeup for the first time in 6 months. Synopsis: My skin looks incredible. My hair is silky again. It has a very faint, pleasant scent that fades immediately. It absolutely works wonders.

My favourite oil to use on my face. Smell is a little odd, but isn’t strong. I have normal skin that leans a little dry in the winter and this oil helps retain moisture without feeling heavy or trapping dirt/oil in pores. Definitely love this for my minimalist skin care.

So, I bought this oil and some zinc oxide with the idea to make a DIY sunscreen. After reading online that carrot seed oil is good for sunscreen properties, I bought this one since it seemed to be the brand everyone liked. I received my carrot seed oil today and I love the consistency (thick) and smell of it (hard to describe the light, "woodsy" smell, but I like it very much - the light smell goes away quickly). The oil is thick and I started by putting it on the back of my hands. It absorbs quickly and is not greasy at all (despite being pure oil). It went into my skin and left it feeling soft and hydrated. Whether or not I make my own sunscreen (we'll see...), I'm glad I bought this product. I love essential oils and other oils and I really like this a lot. I received it within just a couple days of ordering it, so the seller was very efficient. The bottle was bigger than I anticipated, so I got a lot for my money. I read on the little flyer that came with it, that the expiration is 1 year from buying it - so that's good. All good, I'm super happy with my purchase of this carrot seed oil. (p.s. Just so you're aware, what I bought was pure "carrot seed oil" - not essential oil - that, apparently, is something different.)

So far so good. Haven't noticed a huge difference in skin condition but my skin is not wrinkly or damaged. I do have freckles and a few melasma. I know some people tout carrot seed oil for sun protection - I can say that it does not provide substantial sun protection. At least not any more than coconut oil or some other occluded natural oil that offers around 2-5 spf. I have used it everyday mixed with olive oil as a face moisturizer day and night. There is no strong odor and leaves my skin silky and happy. It hasn't stopped freckles from being out in the sun and I did get a little too much sun when I forgot to wear a hat during gardening but I have used it AFTER sun exposure and I think it helps with drying and healing. I've only been using for a month. I will update my review in another six months should I feel the need.

I have been oiling my scalp for many years and haven't been able to find the right scalp oil for me. My scalp is very sensitive and flaky, so I have to be careful about the products/ingredients I use to not make the problem worse. Most scalp oils I've looked at either use filler oils (ex. coconut oil or soybean oil) or a ton of fragrance, both of which are unnecessary and irritating to my scalp. I decided to do some research to get just plain oils with no additives to use for oiling my scalp. I've ordered from this brand previously and really like the quality of their products and didn't hesitate to search through the selection to find a new oil for my hair. I decided to give carrot seed oil a try and it's made such a difference in how my scalp feels! The oil production I usually get with my hair/scalp has decreased significantly and my hair has never felt so moisturized. My only complaint is that the bottle size is quite small and if you have thick hair like me, then you will blow through this bottle after a few uses. Despite the bottle size, I still highly recommend this product and will continue to purchase it due to the amazing results I've been seeing!

This oil is amazing! The scent is so light it is almost unscented. I purchased it to help repair my damaged hair. I use it in many different ways; I put a couple of drops in my conditioner, use it as a thermal protectant, as a leave-in conditioner, and to tame fly-aways. It is very light and it begins repairing your hair almost instantly. I also bought the broccoli seed oil, but there is no comparison to this. I have always bleached my hair so I'm always looking for for ways to keep it from breaking off. Carrot Seed Oil is ranked right up there with Olaplex and other expensive salon hair care items. A couple of days after I began using it, my co-workers made comments about how great my hair looked. I've even shared some with friends that asked about my hair! In no way have I been paid for this testimonial. I purchased some Rosehip Seed Oil at the same time. I have had one laser treatment to remove a tattoo and I'm hoping it speeds up the healing time. I will leave feedback about that as I see progress.

My girlfriend and I recently added Leven Rose's Carrot Seed Oil to our lineup of oils we apply to each other after our nightly hot bath and cool shower (what fun!) and what impressed me most is the thickness and richness of this oil. Though not quite as thick as Leven Rose's Pumpkin Seed Oil (which we also recently added) it's very "silky" when applied as a body oil, or hair oil for that matter. It goes on very smooth, feels really good and is absorbed into the skin very quickly, basically in the same manner as the Pumpkin Seed Oil noted above. We apply it as a body oil all over.. (and I mean all over!!) and it does thicken and increase body hair, when used on a daily basis. Remember to use it very sparingly, as a little goes a very long way! The oil itself is basically clear in color, with just a tint of the usual yellow found in many of these organic, cold pressed, unrefined all natural body/skin/hair oils sold by Leven Rose, in my opinion the best company out there selling the highest quality all organic oils, and their customer/product support after your purchase is nothing short of outstanding! Definitely give this oil a try.. You'll absolutely love it! We Do!!
