It was recommended to me by a licensed clinical nutritionist when I started a detox/elimination diet to determine what food sensitivities I had. I like the Vanilla flavor the best. The plain flavor has an unusual but not offensive odor and taste and I use it when I cannot find the Vanilla. It does not dissolve completely (but fairly well) in a liquid, and can have a very slight gritty consistency. I have just gotten used to it, and it does not bother me, especially since I use it in thick smoothies or shakes. I have found it to be a great, high quality dietary product to use, gentle on my digestive tract.
