I've used many different brands of locking tuners. I learned to stay away from the cheap ones. These Guykers impressed me right out the box. For middle range price, these tuners are quite good. The first thing I noticed was the thick metal density of each tuner which improved my guitar tone. I didn't put these on a trem guitar - just a guitar with a fixed bridge - so I can't say how the tuners respond with trem action.I replaced cheap factory tuners that were sealed but small compared to these Guykers. The Guykers fit through the headstock holes with no issues. The pins that lock on the strings work fine and are smooth at the ends - no cutting of the strings because of sharp edges. The tuners have a solid turning feel and work great with no slippage. Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I decided to take a chance on these and I regret it. I installed these on my les paul and two of them didn't work. I turned the key and the shaft wouldn't turn (at all). I should have checked them out as soon as they were delivered, but I put them on the shelf until my les paul project was ready. I would advise buying another brand. Their QA/QC is obviously not catching duds going out the door.UPDATE : I sent an email to customer service and attached this video and they promptly sent two replacements, no charge, and didn’t ask me to send them the broken ones. The replacements worked fine. Changing my rating from 1 star to 4 stars.

I like their other products. I’ve used their bridges, other tuners, bone nuts, misc parts, but this lasted 10 seconds. 2 of them DOA won’t even turn. Waste of time. I have around 10 guitars and all have higher yet different model locking tuners. I have a LP style build and figured I like their bridges why not save money and get these tuners. I know locking tuners have a shorter stem (due to less string winds), but these are really short. Like on a Les Paul the string barely fits through post. I will buy guyker bridges but these tuners just don’t cut it. just spend the money and get some smooth quality tuners.

I used these to upgrade standard tuners on a couple acoustic projects and they worked great-just make sure you check the threads on the bushing/nut on each one before you try to set them in place-some were a bit iffy. I use a little liquid soap on the threads to lube the threads and had no real issues-just make sure they tighten/loosen smoothly before you set them on the head. I also picked up nylon washers for the two guitars I was setting up-the posts were a bit too long but not by enough to worry about. I’d also recommend rounding the holes for the strings to make sure there are no sharp edges-just use a low e string to “file” the opening (I do that on any tuner-not just an issue with these) Great value, nice finish, smooth action and they hold tune!

Very well built, looks great on guitar

I can’t speak about their quality because I haven’t used them yet (I’ll explain in a sec…) BUT they do look awesome. As far as looks they’re exactly what I wanted.But I haven’t used them yet because they’re too small. The description says they’re 10mm, but as soon as I put them in I noticed they were too small and they wiggle around. This can cause tuning stability issues. They actually measure 9.4mm. I posted photos showing how they fit and what everything measures.I’m sure there are ways to Mcguyver them to make’em fit properly, but I’m just sayin…they’re not 10mm, they’re 9.4mm. And I measured several tuning holes on my headstock to show my headstock isn’t the issue.My question is…Why aren’t Grover, Hipshot, Gotoh, etc. making vintage bronze locking tuners??? So shoutout to Guyker for being innovators. I HAVE purchased other Guyker products and will continue to buy more.

They’re simple, great, sturdy, black tuning machines. They fit perfect and were easy to install. Couldn’t be happier.
