Hold and strike it properly!
It’s great quality for what it is, a better than nothing option when you need it. I would not use it regularly because it is brittle but definitely happy with it over a tooth pick. You have to hold it and strike it properly per the instructions or it will break. I broke one of three and that was my fault but I still made a fire using the broken piece. Just know that it wouldn’t hold up as regular use item but it definitely beats a tooth pick any day.

So cool!!
Excellent idea and it works great, have one in every SAK I own. If you like these kinds of knife accessories, check out their other products. They're just as cool and work just as well!!

This is a slick accessory for a Victorinox Swiss Army knife!
The only thing I use the toothpick on my Swiss Army knives for is cleaning wax out of my earbuds, so replacing the toothpick with this tiny ferro rod was no loss.I carry two models of Victorinox knives, the Compact for every day carry and a large lock-blade Outrider in my pack when I'm in the woods. I swapped out the toothpicks for the Firefly ferro rod in both knives. And the ferro rod works great in spite of being so small. I put the rod against my tinder (dryer lint) and draw it back through the wirestripper on the bottle opener/screwdriver blade. It has thrown enough spark to light the tinder on the first try every time. The rod is small so it's not practical for continual use, but as a backup it can't be beat.

Will still work for the smaller knives
Ordered these by mistake. My fault. After struggling to get the mini’s (they would arrive taken out of the package as a single and each time broken because of it (thanks Etsy). I measured the toothpick and broke off the extra length. While it’s a tight fit, they do fit, and the extra little piece of nylon grip that sticks out, helps to pull it out of the knife pocket. Perfect for backpacking.

It is thin and will break. Make sure you have a backup and learn how to use it properly
Used one for the first time using my saw blade on my victornox. After applying enough pressure to get a decent spark. It broke. WELL. After learning how to use it properly. ( look for best ways to use). It’s a great product

terrible quality
I do not recommend it. The package indicates that it comes with 3 pieces, but it arrived with only one piece inside and the package was broken and taped together, because they removed the other 2 pieces. The only piece that arrived was of poor quality and broke when it was removed.

A forever EDC emergency fire start
Perfect replacement for that useless toothpick. I don't smoke so I don't carry disposable lighters with me, and I don't want to put disposable lighters in an EDC or emergency kit in case they break or the fluid evaporates and then the day you need them you don't have them. This solves that cuz this will last forever.

Good idea, bad implementation
First, the plastic "knob" or "handle" for the rod is far too flexible. They need to use a more rigid plastic. The first one I tried inserting simply broke off where the plastic is fused on. If they reduced the height of the rod ever so slightly just at the last 3mm of the tip they could get two fusion points instead of one, similar to how the tweezers at designed.Second, this does not appear to work on a SAK Ranger. Even though it's a larger knife, the hole for the toothpick seems to taper and the ferro rod easily gets stuck. The hole for the tweezers is even smaller. This did fit in a "standard," larger SAK and it does throw decent sparks. Mostly disappointed in the cheapness of the plastic part (their fault) and that it doesn't fit into the Ranger model (not really their fault).
