Ended up using half the bag to make an infused oil. Yes, it's awesome in chili/spaghetti sauce, but a very little goes a long way. Very little. And make sure to use gloves when handling, these will burn your skin. If you use your fingers, wash your hands right away so you don't accidentally get any of the residual on or close to your eyes. I didn't find the smell to be terrible, but the minute I opened the bag, the spice hit me right in the nasal membranes and I spent a half hour sneezing.
