Described as 8 mm x 7mm, and if you use these, you know that the grip length is the important one. you need enough, but usually you get a screw set slightly shorter, so that you compress the materials you are joining together when you tighten it down. These turned out to be shorter than described, should have been 0.276 inches, were 0.238, about 13 % under size. If you use these with kydex, they would be about perfect for 4 layers of .060 or 3 of .080, so not a problem for me but if you want the full size of 7 mm, you may need a longer screw. screw thread tolerance is loose, so careful tightening. finish looks okay, but not great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid and durable - an excellent purchase! *by W***G on Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2016* To be honest, I wasn't expecting to be very satisfied with these studs/Chicago screws. But the price was low and they were offered on Prime, so I figured I'd give them a shot. I am so happy I did. These are a whole lot higher quality than I expected. Solid construction and seem to be really durable. I've gone through about a dozen of them so far (I've been using to attach leather straps/handles to bags) and none have been defective.I typically use a tiny dab of a glue like H3000 on the screw back rivets used on my bags, but I skipped that step on the rivets used on the prototype bag I've been carrying for the last week or so (it's a big bag and I carry a lot in it) and when I checked the rivets last night, they were all still as secure as the day I installed them.
