Decaps well
I recently started reloading and wanted to decap my brass before I cleaned it. This die allows me to remove the peimer without lubricating tapered cases or resizing the brass. I have used it for .380, 9mm, 38spcl, .357 mag, .40 .44 mag, .44, .223, 200 BO, 308 and 30.06. All without any issue.

Great product from RCBS
The die is great for depriming brass before ultrasonic cleaning. The only problem I had was primers getting stuck to the decapping rod when depriming 5.56 brass with the primer pocket crimped. The primers were sticking to the decapping rod so hard they would actually reseat themselves in the case when the shellplate was lowered on a Dillon XL650. The solution was to chuck the decapping rod in a drill and grind the rod so the tip was more tapered (removed the sharp shoulder). I then polished the tip to a mirror finish with some polishing compound. After those modifications the decapping die worked flawless. With the decapping die installed in a toolhead on a Dillon XL650, I was able to deprime 1000 pieces of brass in about 40 minutes. Well worth the extra step so the primer pockets could be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. Amazon had the best price on this die as well as same day delivery; can't beat that.

Does what it says and more.
This decapping die doe what it says and more..... it is not only for 22-25 caliber but also does, from my experience, 308 and even larger. I have 338 LM but no shell holder. I tried the Cartridge in the die and it slides right in. So my opinion.... if you need to do 223 and a 30 caliber or larger, sa e your money an just get this die. Remember that we need to Decap our brass before we size it and Tumble it for the first time. Cap your breath, tumble it, and then size your brass in two different operations. That way you do not get debris on your die while you are sizing it.

RCBS Quality...
Don't be fooled by the specific calibers on the listing, or even on the box when you receive it. This baby handles far more larger calibers just fine. I bought it specifically because of the posts from other reviews that stated such. I prefer to clean my brass with an empty primer pocket (without sizing it), and this is the ticket...

More versatile than you think
I use this to decap spent brass before wet tumbling, really does the trick. I've used it to decap everything I shoot: .223, 9mm, .30-06, 8mm Mauser, 7mm Mauser, 7.5 Swiss, even .45-70. The only thing I could not deprime was .204 Ruger, I think the decapping pin may be too wide in diameter to fit, but I don't shoot that anyway, it was just range pickup.I was planning on buying the larger decapping die in addition, but those one does everything I need it to.

RCBS Decapping Die
Works as anticipated. Makes decapping process quicker/easier in secondary press. Am washing the deprimed cases in solution picked up on a blog (Hot Water, Dawn dishwashing soap, salt, vinegar, rinsed afterward with baking soda solution).

Really Universal decapping die
Works great with pistol calibers. I only used it with 9mm, .45 and .357 and looks it's really Universal. Don't know why it says .22-.25 cal.

Handy tool
This has worked on 223 45 acp 9mm 40 cal 308 30-06 and 300 win mag from the range brass I picked up. Keeps my sizing die clean if I need to knock out primers from range brass before initial cleaning.

Excellent die
Excellent die. Decaps anything you throw at it, if you reload 223 mil crimp than you need this die as I find the Lee ones just slip when the come against a heavy crimp.
