The bag is well made, feels sturdy. I wanted a simple, usable bag and this is exactly that. Doesn't have too many compartments that I would never end up using anyway. The laptop compartment is not padded on the inside, but it is slightly raised from the bottom so there is no risk of hitting it if dropping the bag on a hard surface. I use it for a 15" laptop with no sleeve.The only thing I'd change is add an extra bottle sleeve on the side.
