I use this on my face every other day. Does not lighten skin. Just makes it feel clean.

I am always on the hunt for soaps and fragrances that have no trace of flowery sweetness. A few make the grade. This particular turmeric soap from Plant Life is one of them.

Not as strong as usual but still enjoyable and nice for skin.

Update: This soap has an incredible fragrance that lightly lingers on ones skin after bathing. The soap is creamy and will likely "melt" more quickly than some. I set my wet bar on a loofah sponge after use. This soap smells so good to me, I would consider purchasing a bar for each drawer in my dresser to infuse my garments with this scent. I have carefully avoided contact with my eyes, as others have noted this soap will burn ones eyes.I also purchased the Plantlife Neem soap. The Neem scent is more subtle and perhaps more masculine. Although, both are very nice, I ordered additional bars of the Turmeric soap.I can not attest to health or beauty claims of either bar. But, the soap is very nice.In addition to using the Turmeric soap for bathing, I will use a vegetable peeler or paring knife to add soap shavings to my wash.Original review: I have not opened the box yet. This is the first product I have purchased from Plantlife. After smelling this soap, I ordered a bar of their Neem soap and a 64 oz jug of their laundry soap.

This is a THEE silkiest soap I have ever felt. BUT...it rinses cleeean. I love it. My new regular soap after years and years of trial and error.Beat it Aveeno! There’s a new sud in town.Now...I certainly wouldn’t call it fresh or clean smelling. It smells like turmeric! Naturally.And I’m all too happy to walk around smelling slightly spicy for the cause. Ha!So worth it. It’s the softest soap I’ve ever every used by a long shot.I find myself taking extra baths during the day just to use it.No I was not paid and have no affiliation with the brand and I was not given any sort or discount or promise of gift. I just really like it.And while I would enjoy a softer smell. I appreciate that it’s ‘straight up’ and I feel more confident that it’s doing only good things for my skin.I’m a lifer. Auto-ship here I come! Lol
