Very insightful- eye opening - refreshing!! 5*
I was surprised at the one or two criticisms of the book. The NHS is full of heroes. This was one persons struggle as he went through it. Its meant to be diary of how he felt and what happened. And it’s actually very interesting. It’s quite different to Adam Kay or anyone else although there are parts of that kind of story there. It’s full of ups and downs. It was quite refreshing to read. Recommended!

ups and downs of emotions.
really enjoyed this book! i couldn’t put it down, the ups and downs are so personal and i felt the connection of the emotions of each event that Dr Sami wrote about. - the sigh of relief i did at the end of the book! i hope this isn’t the last account from Dr Sami, the personal view of a doctor during the pandemic is such a different perspective of life!

An amazing rare insight.
A fantastic insight into the life of a doctor. The Dr.Samis notes are a rare insight into the toll Covid-19 has taken on the NHS and its staff. This book is a thoughtful and honest account and to see how the author gradually managed and adapted to the demands of his environment was exciting to ready.

Excruciatingly dull
Boring. No insight into being a doctor or practicing medicine and any of those challenges. Just 130 pages of rambling about his wedding and his self improvement strategies. Don’t bother with this book.

Thoughtful insight into a Doctor as a person
Genuinely a pleasant read. Opportunity to experience a side to a professional that I don’t get to experience normally.Deeply personal account and I look forward to reading more.

Book description is misleading.
I had hoped for some insight into what it was like being a doctor during the pandemic, but this book doesn't touch on that in the slightest. Instead its over a 100 pages of a guy rambling (very repetitively) about his self-help strategies and religion. Very misleading book description.

This has nothing to do with covid pandemic
This book was about a doctor struggling with exams a wedding and his faith, nothing about covid stress of wards or human suffering just him playing Xbox skipping and religion.
